šŸ™ God's Honor, Reign & Will -- Then Our Provision, Forgiveness, Relief from Temptation, Evil, Matt 6:9-13...

Good and Faithful Servant
šŸ™ Jesus said, "Pray in this way: ā€˜Our Father in Heaven, May Your Name be honored. Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever, Amen.’" Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

What a powerful reminder of how our Lord Jesus taught us to pray! You have lifted up the very words that align our hearts with the Father’s will, and we join you in declaring the supremacy of His name, the coming of His kingdom, and the fulfillment of His perfect will on earth as it is in heaven. This prayer is not just a model—it is a declaration of dependence, surrender, and trust in the One who holds all things together.

The Lord’s Prayer begins with worship, not with our needs, and this is a vital lesson for all of us. When we seek first the honor of God’s name, the advancement of His kingdom, and the accomplishment of His will, we align ourselves with His eternal purposes. Only then do we bring our petitions before Him—our daily provision, our need for forgiveness, our desire for deliverance from temptation and evil. This order is no accident. It reminds us that our lives are not about our comfort or desires but about His glory. As Jesus said, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). When our priorities are right, we can trust Him to provide what we truly need.

We also notice that this prayer is corporate—*"Our Father," "Give us," "Forgive us," "Lead us."* This reminds us that we are not isolated individuals but part of the body of Christ, called to pray together, forgive one another, and walk in unity. Forgiveness is central here, and Jesus emphasizes this later in Matthew 6:14-15: *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* This is a sobering truth. Unforgiveness in our hearts hinders our relationship with God. We must examine ourselves: Are we holding onto bitterness, resentment, or offense? If so, we must release it, for our own sake and for the sake of the kingdom.

The request for deliverance from temptation and evil is equally critical. We live in a fallen world where the enemy seeks to devour, distract, and destroy. But we are not left defenseless! James 4:7 tells us, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Our resistance must be rooted in submission to God, in the power of His Word, and in the authority of Jesus’ name. We cannot fight spiritual battles in our own strength—we need the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and the Holy Spirit’s guidance every step of the way.

Finally, this prayer ends with a doxology: *"For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever. Amen."* This is our confidence—that no matter what we face, God reigns supreme. His kingdom cannot be shaken, His power cannot be overcome, and His glory will never fade. When we pray in this way, we are not just reciting words; we are declaring our allegiance to the King of kings and trusting Him with every detail of our lives.

Let us pray together over these truths:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up Your name today, asking that You would be honored in our lives, in our words, and in our actions. Let Your kingdom come in fullness, Lord—may Your rule and reign be established in our hearts, our homes, our churches, and our nations. We surrender our wills to Yours, trusting that Your plans are perfect, even when we do not understand them.

Father, we ask for our daily bread—not just the physical provision we need, but the spiritual nourishment that comes from Your Word and Your presence. Teach us to rely on You completely, knowing that You are our Provider and our Sustain-er.

Lord, we confess our sins before You and ask for Your forgiveness. Search our hearts, O God, and reveal any unforgiveness, bitterness, or pride that we may be harboring. Help us to forgive others as You have forgiven us, releasing every offense into Your hands. Cleanse us, Lord, and create in us a pure heart that reflects Your grace.

We ask for Your protection, Father. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Strengthen us to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we may walk in wisdom, discernment, and holiness. Remind us that the battle is Yours, and the victory is already won through Christ Jesus.

Finally, we declare that Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever! May our lives bring You honor, and may we live each day with an eternal perspective, knowing that You are sovereign over all things.

We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Brothers and sisters, let us encourage one another to pray in this way—not out of ritual, but out of a heart fully surrendered to God. When we prioritize His kingdom, we will see His hand move in ways we never thought possible. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep declaring His supremacy over every area of your life. He is faithful, and He will do it!

We join you in lifting up the Lord's Prayer today, a powerful reminder of our dependence on God and our trust in His will. As we pray, let's remember the words of Jesus, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7)

Let's ask together for God's honor to be revealed in our lives, for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Let's seek His daily provision, His forgiveness, and His protection from temptation and evil. And let's do this with hearts full of trust, knowing that our Father in heaven loves us and wants the best for us.

Let's also remember to forgive as we have been forgiven, and to walk in unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ. As we do this, we can trust that God will move in our lives in powerful ways.

Let's pray in Jesus' name, amen.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We have been lifted in worship these past days as we joined you in praying the words our Savior taught us—seeking first God’s honor, His kingdom, and His will, while trusting Him for our daily provision, forgiveness, and deliverance from evil. What a sacred privilege it has been to stand with you in this prayer, lifting our voices together before the throne of grace, just as Jesus instructed.

We are eager to hear how the Lord has moved in your life since you first shared this request. Has He revealed His faithfulness in new ways? Have you seen His provision, His forgiveness at work, or His protection from temptation and evil? If so, we would love for you to share a praise report with us, so we can rejoice together in His goodness and give Him the glory He deserves.

If the burdens you carried when you first posted this prayer still weigh heavily on your heart, please know we are here to continue standing with you. You are not alone in this journey. Share your request again, and let us persist in prayer alongside you, trusting that our Heavenly Father hears and answers according to His perfect will and timing.

May you be encouraged today by the truth that the One who taught us to pray this way is the same One who intercedes for us even now. He is faithful, and His kingdom, power, and glory endure forever. We are praying for you as you walk in deeper trust and surrender to Him.

In Jesus Name.
