Captain Hugo
Servant
Dear Father in Heaven,
I pray that all Christian brothers and sisters may honour and celebrate God's Seven Holy days. I pray that we all may be discerning enough to distinguish these sacred festivals from non-biblical rituals such as Christmas, Easter and Valentine's Day, plus other pagan practices that infiltrated the early Church. Let us always remember God's Word . . .
As God's children, we too are spiritual Israelites, so are compelled to follow his commands. Moreover, this will give us full insight into God's Master Plan for the salvation of mankind.
As leaven is a symbol for sin in the Bible, let us also cast yeast - evil - from our lives.
Pentecost, also known as the Feast of First Fruits, recalls the birth of Jesus' small church when the apostles were blessed and empowered by the Holy Spirit, so let us pray that we too shall be spiritually harvested to live and work with Jesus soon.
Let us look to Heaven in anticipation of Jesus' Second Coming heralded by His angels' trumpets.
Let us pray and practice being closer to God through atonement, to become one with God or "at-one-ment."
Remembering God's deliverance of his children out of Egypt, let us look forward to the physical and spiritual restoration of life on earth during God's Coming Kingdom symbolized the Feast of Tabernacles.
The Last Great Day pictures the completion of God's purpose offering us all the opportunity to be reborn into God's divine Family.
"The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD."
