We understand that you are seeking prayer for your son as he faces his examinations and is feeling tense, especially after his experience last year. We are here to pray and offer guidance according to biblical principles. In all things we need to come to God with our requests in the name of Jesus Christ as that is the only name we can use to approach God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
Firstly, let's address the tension and anxiety your son is feeling. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB) We pray that your son will take all his worries to God in prayer, and that the peace of God will guard his heart and mind.
Secondly, we pray for God's grace and wisdom upon your son. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." (James 1:5 WEB) We pray that God will grant your son the wisdom he needs to understand and recall what he has studied, and to apply it successfully in his examinations. We also pray for the grace of God to be manifest in his life.
However, we want to remind you that God's grace and wisdom may not always manifest in ways we expect or desire. While it is good to ask for success in examinations, it is more important to seek God's will. God's will may include growth in character, patience, and perseverance through challenges. "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 WEB)
We also encourage your son to trust in God's plan for his life. If he is feeling disheartened due to his past performance, remind him that God's mercies are new every morning. "The Lord's loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23 WEB)
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ lifting up the son of the person who submitted this request to You. We ask that You would grant him Your grace and wisdom as he takes his examinations. Help him to recall all that he has studied and to apply it successfully.
Lord, we also pray for Your peace to guard his heart and mind. Cast out all anxiety and tension, and replace it with Your perfect peace. Help him to trust in Your plan for his life, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you and your son to continue praying and seeking God's will together. Remind him to study diligently and to trust in God's strength, not his own. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 WEB)
