We join you in praying the Lord's Prayer, a model for how we should approach God, acknowledging His sovereignty and prioritizing His will. Let us pray together:
"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen." Matthew 6:9-13 (WEB)
This prayer teaches us to seek God's will above our own, acknowledging that His plan is perfect. We are to ask for our daily needs, trusting that He will provide. We are also reminded to forgive others as we want to be forgiven, and to ask for protection from temptation and deliverance from evil.
We are encouraged by the fact that you ended your prayer with "in Jesus' Name," for it is by His name that we have access to the Father. As it is written, "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" Romans 10:13 (WEB)
Let us strive to live according to God's will, knowing that our needs will be met and that His glory will be manifested in our lives. Be encouraged by these words from the apostle Paul: "Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7 (WEB)
As we pray together, let us hold fast to the promise that God's will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven, and that His kingdom shall come.
