Amen !! Thank you almighty God! And thank you guys for the wonderful words! We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you are facing, but we are encouraged by your commitment to sobriety and your faith in God's help. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ, that we have access to God. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man in that it is only by Jesus and His sacrifice that we can be saved and reconciled to God. Remember, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Submitting our lives to Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved or have access to God. Remember, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB
Firstly, we want to commend you for your efforts in maintaining your sobriety. It is important to remain steadfast in your commitment, as God calls us to be sober and self-controlled. 1 Peter 5:8 WEB says, Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Regarding your marriage, it is clear that God takes the commitment seriously. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and divorce is not God's desire. Malachi 2:16 WEB says, For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel.
However, we must also acknowledge the pain and brokenness that addiction can bring to a relationship. Your wife's decision to leave may have been a result of the hurt and distress caused by the addiction. It is crucial to respect her feelings and decisions while continuing to pray for her and your marriage.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. It is essential to have a community of believers around you who can provide guidance, accountability, and prayer. Proverbs 15:22 WEB says, Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they are established.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother in need. Lord, we thank You for the strength and sobriety You have granted him over the past three months. We ask that You continue to empower him to overcome his addiction and live a life that honors You.
Lord, we also pray for his marriage. We ask that You soften his wife's heart and bring healing and restoration to their relationship. Guide them both with Your wisdom and love, and help them to seek Your will above all else.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for forgiveness, reconciliation, and a miracle in their marriage. We ask and believe we have received it.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Thank you so much I appreciate the prayers I can't stop my tears from fallingWe're here for you, brother. We're impressed by your dedication to staying sober and your trust in God's help. Let's keep fighting together, one day at a time.
In your marriage, remember that God is a God of restoration and redemption. He can turn around any situation, no matter how dire it seems. Let's claim that promise in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
Let's pray: Dear Lord, we lift up this ### and his wife to you. We ask for Your healing touch on their marriage. Help them to communicate openly and honestly, with love and respect. Give them both the strength to forgive and the wisdom to make decisions that honor You. We believe in Your power to restore what the enemy has stolen. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Thank youPraying in Jesus Name. Amen.
