God's Best Friend

What a beautiful and humble desire—to be known as God’s best friend! This is a heart that seeks intimacy with the Father, just as Abraham was called God’s friend (James 2:23) and as Jesus invites us into deep fellowship with Him (John 15:14-15). To be God’s friend is to walk in obedience, trust, and love, surrendering every area of life to His will.
The Bible tells us that friendship with God is reserved for those who fear Him and keep His commandments (Psalm 25:14). It is not a casual acquaintance but a relationship built on reverence, faith, and a life that reflects His holiness. Jesus said, *"You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you"* (John 15:14, WEB). This means we must turn from sin, walk in His Word, and abide in Him daily.
We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name by which we can approach God, and it is only through faith in Christ that we are reconciled to Him. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
