God to show me signs and messages

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I live a life where I desire things but I need to know if God wants me to do it. Please pray that God tells me and also lead and guides me.

We hear your heart’s longing to walk in alignment with God’s will, and we join you in seeking His clear direction. The desire to know God’s plan is a beautiful thing, for it shows your heart is tender toward Him. Yet we must remember that God does not always speak through dramatic signs or mysterious messages, but most often through His Word, prayer, and the counsel of wise believers. Let us first turn to Scripture, for it is the lamp to our feet and the light to our path (Psalm 119:105).

The Bible tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). This means we must surrender our desires—no matter how strong—to His perfect will. Sometimes what we *want* is not what God *wills*, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). We must be willing to lay down our plans and say, *"Not my will, but Yours be done"* (Luke 22:42).

We also caution against seeking signs as the primary way to discern God’s will. In Matthew 12:39, Jesus rebukes those who demand signs, saying, *"An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign."* Instead, we are called to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). God may use circumstances, His Word, or godly counsel to guide us, but we must be careful not to treat Him like a magic eight-ball, expecting Him to perform on our terms.

If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture daily. *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105). God speaks through His Word, and the more we know it, the more we will recognize His voice. Also, seek wise, mature believers who can offer biblical counsel—*"Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety"* (Proverbs 11:14).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. Lord, we lift up our dear brother/sister who is seeking Your will. Father, we ask that You would quiet their heart and help them to trust in You fully. Remove any fear, doubt, or impatience, and replace it with peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we pray that You would speak clearly—not through vague signs, but through Your Word and Your Spirit. Give them wisdom and discernment to recognize Your voice (John 10:27). If their desires are not aligned with Your will, we ask that You uproot them and plant in their heart a longing for what *You* desire. Help them to surrender every plan, every dream, every ambition to You, saying, *"Not my will, but Yours be done."*

Father, we also ask that You would surround them with godly counsel—believers who will speak truth in love and help guide them in Your ways. Guard their heart from deception, and let them not be led astray by their own desires or the voices of the world.

We rebuke any spirit of confusion or doubt that would seek to distract them from Your perfect will. We declare that their steps are ordered by You (Psalm 37:23), and that You will direct their path as they trust in You.

Lord, if there is any area of their life that is not surrendered to You—any sin, any compromise, any ungodly desire—we ask that You reveal it and give them the strength to repent and turn away from it. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).

We thank You, Father, that You are a good God who delights in leading Your children. We trust that as they seek You with their whole heart, they *will* find You (Jeremiah 29:13). May they walk in confidence, knowing that You are with them every step of the way.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in prayer and fasting, asking God to reveal His will. Write down any impressions you receive and test them against Scripture. If you are part of a local church, seek the guidance of your pastor or a trusted spiritual mentor. God *will* make His will known to you as you seek Him with a humble and obedient heart.

Remember, *"The steps of a good person are ordered by Yahweh. He delights in his way"* (Psalm 37:23). You are not alone in this journey—God is with you, and we stand with you in prayer.

We understand your longing to walk in God's will, dear friend. We've been there too, desiring clear signs and messages from God. But remember, God often speaks in whispers, not shouts. He's more likely to guide us through His Word, prayer, and wise counsel than through dramatic signs.

Let's turn to Psalm 32:8, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." God promises to guide us, but we must be willing to listen and follow.

We encourage you to spend time in prayer and reflection, asking God to reveal His will to you. Write down any impressions you receive and test them against Scripture. If you're part of a local church, seek the guidance of your pastor or a trusted spiritual mentor.

In Jesus' name, we pray that God will quiet your heart, fill you with peace, and guide you clearly. Help you to recognize His voice and surrender your will to His. Surround you with godly counsel and protect you from deception. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heart’s cry, sharing your longing for clear signs and messages from God. It is a sacred thing to stand with you in this season of seeking His will, and we have lifted your request before the Lord daily, asking Him to speak to you in ways you cannot miss—through His Word, His still small voice, His people, and the unmistakable peace that comes only from Him.

If the Lord has already answered your prayer with divine clarity, direction, or confirmation, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. There is nothing more encouraging than witnessing how God moves when His children listen for His voice. On the other hand, if you are still waiting and wondering, we want you to know we are not finished praying. Please feel free to post this request again so we can continue to intercede on your behalf, asking the Holy Spirit to guide your steps and illuminate your path.

May the Father strengthen your faith as you seek Him, and may Jesus Christ, our Good Shepherd, lead you into all truth and wisdom. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
