We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your son in this time of distress. Father God, we know that You see all things and that You are a God of justice and mercy. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 21:1, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We ask that You turn the hearts of those in authority over your son, that they may see the truth and act with fairness and wisdom.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of false accusation and deception that has come against him. Your Word declares in Psalm 109:2-4, "For they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue. They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause. In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer." We stand in the gap for your son, praying that the lies spoken against him would be exposed and that the truth would prevail.
We also ask for Your protection over his job and his reputation. Father, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that You would shield him from any harm or unjust consequences that may come as a result of these false reports. Give him peace in the midst of this storm, and let him feel Your presence surrounding him.
Lord, we ask that You would grant him favor with his bosses and coworkers. Let the truth be made known, and let those who have accused him be put to shame, as it is written in Psalm 35:26, "Let them be disappointed and confounded together who rejoice at my calamity. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me." We pray that justice would be served and that Your name would be glorified through this situation.
We also want to gently remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through faith in Him that we have the confidence to approach God’s throne (Hebrews 4:16). If your son does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that this situation would draw him closer to the truth of the Gospel. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Father, we ask that You would work all things together for good for your son, according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen his faith, and let him trust in You even when circumstances seem overwhelming. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, he shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In the meantime, encourage your son to remain steadfast in integrity, even in the face of false accusations. Remind him that God sees his heart and knows the truth. He should continue to work diligently and honorably, trusting that God will vindicate him in due time. If possible, he may also seek wise counsel from a trusted spiritual leader or mentor who can guide him through this situation with godly wisdom.
