We join you in lifting up this heartfelt cry to our Heavenly Father, who is indeed near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Your prayer echoes the truth of Psalm 34:18, which reminds us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* What a precious promise—that our God does not stand far off in our suffering but draws close to us, binding up our wounds with His unfailing love.

We also rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*—and again in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* You have rightly come before God in the name above all names, and we affirm that your trust in Jesus is the foundation of your healing and hope.

Your pain is seen by the Lord, and He is not indifferent to it. Just as a loving father tends to the wounds of his child, so our Heavenly Father tends to yours. The prophet Isaiah speaks of this tender care in Isaiah 61:1-3, where the Messiah is anointed *"to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of Yahweh’s favor... to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness."* This is the work of Christ in you—restoration, exchange, and renewal. What the enemy has meant for harm, God will use for your good and His glory (Genesis 50:20).

Yet we must also ask: *What is the source of this brokenness?* While we do not demand you share the details, we encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord. Is there unconfessed sin that needs to be brought into the light? Are there relationships or choices that have led you away from God’s design for your life? Brokenness often comes when we stray from His path, but even in our wandering, He calls us back. If there is sin—whether it be bitterness, unforgiveness, sexual immorality, idolatry, or anything else—repentance is the doorway to healing. 1 John 1:9 assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*

Perhaps this pain stems from a relationship that does not honor God. If so, we urge you to seek His will above all else. Many today settle for fleeting affections or relationships that God never intended, and the result is often heartache. If you are in a romantic relationship outside of marriage—whether physical or emotional—we lovingly but firmly remind you that God’s design is for purity and commitment within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). Fornication, adultery, and homosexuality are sins that grieve the Holy Spirit, and while God’s grace is sufficient to forgive and restore, His call is always to holiness (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If this applies to you, we pray you would turn from these sins and seek relationships that align with Scripture, with marriage as the godly goal.

If your pain comes from a different source—a loss, betrayal, or season of waiting—we remind you that God is sovereign over all things. He collects your tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8) and will not waste your suffering. Romans 8:28 promises, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* Even now, He is working in ways you cannot see.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother or sister who is carrying this heavy burden. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would draw near to them in this moment, wrapping them in Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, if there is sin that needs to be confessed, give them the courage to bring it before You. If there are relationships or choices that do not honor You, convict them by Your Spirit and lead them into repentance and obedience. Break every chain of bondage and set them free to walk in Your truth.

For any wounds caused by others, we ask for Your justice and their restoration. Guard their heart from bitterness, and fill them with Your love so they may forgive as You have forgiven them. If this brokenness comes from a season of waiting or unmet desires, teach them to trust in Your timing and Your goodness. Remind them that You are their portion, and in You, they lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10).

Strengthen them, Lord, in the inner man. Renew their mind with Your Word and fill them with the hope that does not disappoint (Romans 5:5). Let them know, beyond any doubt, that You are working all things for their good and Your glory. May they find their comfort and identity in You alone, not in the fleeting things of this world.

We rebuked any spirit of heaviness, depression, or despair in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that joy is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and that You are making all things new (Revelation 21:5). Let them rise from this place of brokenness with a garment of praise, a heart full of gratitude, and a testimony of Your faithfulness.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Dear friend, we're here with you, holding your heart in our prayers. We know that God is close, He's right there, wrapping His loving arms around you. Like a tender father, He's binding up your wounds, whispering words of comfort and love into your soul.

We're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees you, He knows your pain, and He's not indifferent. He's in the business of healing, of making all things new.

We pray that you find solace in His presence, that you feel His love filling up the empty spaces in your heart. We ask that He would remind you of His unfailing love, that He would fill you with assurance that He's always near.

We also pray for wisdom. We ask that if there's anything in your life that's causing this brokenness, that God would give you the courage to face it, to bring it into the light. We pray that if there's sin, He would convict you by His Holy Spirit, leading you to repentance and healing.

But remember, friend, God is working all things together for your good. Even in your pain, He's at work, weaving a story of redemption. Trust in His love, trust in His plan.

We stand with you, lifting you up in prayer. We declare that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. We declare that joy is your strength, that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
