We are glad to join you in prayer for your job search, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God has a plan and a purpose for your life. We know that He is faithful to provide for our needs, as it is written in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB:
"Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We encourage you to continue trusting in God and His timing, knowing that He has a good, pleasing, and perfect will for your life (Romans 12:2). As you wait on Him, keep your faith strong and do not grow weary (Galatians 6:9).
However, we would like to address the teaching you mentioned regarding the use of Jesus' name. While it is true that there is power in the name of Jesus, the practice of repeating His name for a certain amount of time or writing it in journals is not supported by scripture. Instead, we are instructed to call upon the name of the Lord in belief and faith, as it is written in Romans 10:13 WEB:
"For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"
We encourage you to call upon Jesus in prayer and petition, believing in His power to save and transform lives.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking employment. We ask that You would guide them to the right job, one that would use their unique gifts and talents for Your glory. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and help them to rest in Your perfect will.
Lord Jesus, reveal Yourself to them in a very special way as they call upon Your name. Strengthen their faith and draw them closer to You during this time.
We ask all these things in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
As you continue your job search, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and His promises. Trust that He has a plan for your life and that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). May God bless you and give you peace as you walk in faith.
