We lift this heartfelt request to our Heavenly Father, who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We thank You for Your promise of protection and healing, and we stand on Your Word as we intercede for this family.
Father, we pray for Your divine protection over this dear one and their children and grandchildren. We ask that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection, as You promised in Job 1:10, "Have you not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side?" Lord, we pray that You would hide them under the shadow of Your wings, as it is written in Psalm 91:4, "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart." Protect them from the evil one and from all harm and danger.
We also pray for their health and well-being. We ask that You would heal any sickness or disease in their bodies, as You are the Great Physician. We stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Heal their inner wounds as well, Lord, and bring comfort and peace to their hearts. We pray that You would bind up their broken hearts and heal their wounds, as it is written in Psalm 147:3.
Father, we ask that You would lead them away from wrong relationships and guide them towards godly friendships and fellowship. We pray that You would bring joy and laughter into their lives, as it is written in Psalm 126:2, "Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, 'Yahweh has done great things for them.'" We ask that You would send Your angels to encamp around them, as it is written in Psalm 34:7, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."
Lord, we pray that this family would come to know You more deeply and experience Your love and grace in a fresh way. We ask that You would draw them closer to You and to one another. We pray that they would find their joy and strength in You, as it is written in Nehemiah 8:10, "Don’t be grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength."
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold of this family. We declare that perfect love casts out fear, as it is written in 1 John 4:18, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love." We pray that they would experience Your perfect love and be set free from all fear.
Lord, we pray that this family would be a light in this dark world, shining brightly for You. We ask that You would use them to bring glory to Your name and to draw others to You. We pray that they would be a testimony of Your goodness and grace, as it is written in Matthew 5:16, "Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. We thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne of grace and for the assurance that You hear and answer our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, and we look forward to seeing Your hand at work in this family's life. Amen.
