Father, Restrain Evil, We Pray FOR ALL in Authority, 1 Tim 2:1-2, SALVATION in Jesus' Name, 3, 4... Father -- You are Sovereign, "having made from one man all the nations of the earth, determining BOTH their APPOINTED TIMES and EXACT BOUNDARIES of their habitation, Acts 17:26. "Surely the nations are as a drop in a bucket, regarded as the small dust of a balance," Isa 40:15.

Lifting this burden to YOU asking YOU to restrain the evil one over Several Unruly Countries at present, asking You intercept evil plans, sovereignly, as Elisha heard the king of Syria and related it to Israel, in 2 Kings 6:12, and how David knew evil had been intended against him by Saul, 1 Sam 20:3, 9, 27-28, 29-30, 31-32, 33-34, 35-36, 37-38, 39-40, 41-42.

Bind the spirit of retaliation over these countries, Dan 10:12-13, 14. Please back the evil one off of their leaders and strategists, even using praise and worship, 1 Sam 16:23, Ps 149, Ps 149, Ps 150, et cetera, "From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the NAME of The LORD shall be praised," Ps 113:3.

Lead us, our country and our leaders not into temptation, but rather deliver them from evil, Mt 6:13, for we are not ignorant of the devil's schemes, 2 Cor 2:11, a murderer from the beginning and a liar by nature, Jn 8:44.

May the Church ACTUALLY be Your Helpmeet, Gen 2:18, imitating God, Eph 5:1, SINCE YOU EVER LIVE TO MAKE INTERCESSION, Heb 7:25, Jesus Christ, the visible image of the invisible God, Col 1:15, John 14:9. "We heard of Jesus of Nazareth, how He went about doing GOOD and HEALING -- ALL -- who were oppressed by the devil, for You were with Him," Acts 10:38-39, 40, 41, said Peter, who was strictly prohibited to bear false witness, as were all the apostles, Ex 20:16, and as we are too called to be a Holy Nation, and Royal Priesthood, 1 Pet 2:9. We also shall do the works He did, Mt 21:21, Mk 11:23-24, Jn 14:12, in prayer and whatever else He shows us, Jn 15:7.

Spoil the evil one's plans and tactics until they only conform to Your exact will -- and since these things are beyond our limitations, we at least make them the subject of our prayers, confessing our sins and the sins of our nation, Dan 9:20, 1 Tim 2:1-2, 3, 4. Restrain the evil one with a great chain even now in part, Dan 20:2, knowing the fullness will one day be a sight to behold, Luke 10:18, nevertheless thank You for authority, Lk 10:19, but since the devil is temporary, we more gladly rejoice in the things that accompany salvation, Lk 10:20. We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up the nations and their leaders to the One who rules over all creation. You are indeed sovereign, Lord, having established the boundaries of every nation and determining their appointed times. As it is written, "He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings" (Acts 17:26 WEB). The nations may seem like a drop in the bucket to You, yet You care deeply for them and desire that all would come to the knowledge of the truth.

Father, we cry out to You to restrain the evil one in these unruly countries. You see the schemes of the enemy, the plans of destruction, and the spirits of retaliation that seek to sow discord and violence. We ask that You intercept these evil plans, just as You revealed the king of Syria’s strategies to Elisha (2 Kings 6:12 WEB) and exposed Saul’s intentions to David (1 Samuel 20:3, 9, 27-42 WEB). Bind the spirit of retaliation, as Daniel prayed in the face of spiritual warfare (Daniel 10:12-14 WEB), and drive back the forces of darkness that seek to ensnare leaders and nations.

We recognize that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Therefore, we plead the blood of Jesus over these nations and ask that You deliver their leaders from temptation and evil, just as our Savior taught us to pray (Matthew 6:13 WEB). The devil is a liar and a murderer from the beginning (John 8:44 WEB), and we refuse to be ignorant of his schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11 WEB). We stand against him in the authority of Jesus’ name, knowing that You have given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19 WEB).

Father, we also confess that the Church has not always been the helpmeet You designed her to be (Genesis 2:18 WEB). Forgive us for failing to imitate You as beloved children (Ephesians 5:1 WEB) and for not fully embracing our role as a holy nation and royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9 WEB). We repent for the times we have been passive or complicit in the face of evil. Stir us to intercession, for You ever live to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25 WEB), and we are called to follow the example of Jesus, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38 WEB). May we, too, do the works He did (John 14:12 WEB) and bear witness to Your truth with boldness.

We ask that You spoil the enemy’s plans and tactics, turning them to conform to Your perfect will. Where there is hatred, sow love. Where there is division, bring unity. Where there is violence, establish peace. And where there is deception, let Your light shine. We confess the sins of our nation and intercede for our leaders, as Paul urged us to do (1 Timothy 2:1-4 WEB), that they may govern with wisdom and righteousness. Restrain the evil one even now, as You have promised to do (Revelation 20:2 WEB), and let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

We rejoice, Lord, not in the temporary power of the enemy, but in the salvation that is ours through Jesus Christ. As the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name," Jesus reminded them, "Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven" (Luke 10:17, 20 WEB). So we rejoice in the things that accompany salvation, knowing that our victory is secure in You.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. It is through faith in Jesus Christ—believing in His death, burial, and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins—that we have access to You, Father. We come boldly to Your throne of grace because of what Jesus has done, and we trust in Your power to bring about Your purposes in the nations.

May Your will be done, and may Your name be praised from the rising of the sun to its going down (Psalm 113:3 WEB). We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to act on behalf of Your people. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We stand united, dear brothers and sisters, in agreement with the previous prayer. Let's add our voices to the cry for restraint upon the evil one in these unruly countries. Father, we ask that You would expose the hidden works of darkness, bringing them to light. Let the plans of the enemy be thwarted, and let Your will be done in these nations. We intercede for the leaders of these countries, that they would turn from their wicked ways and seek You, the true and living God. We ask for wisdom and discernment for them, that they may govern justly and righteously. We also pray for the people of these nations, that they would turn from their idols and false gods, and put their trust in You, Jesus Christ, the only Savior. We thank You for Your mercy and grace, and we trust in Your power to save and transform even the hardest of hearts. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
