[Anonymous]

God please bring people of all colors together please do . When something bad happens to a black person like the black person is shot or in jail white people don't care and said good got what they deserve. I get very sad when bad things happen to people of all colors and I pray for them . And awhile back a racist heartless person was laughing because a black person is starting to have a heart attack because of a heartless person became president. God please I'm tired of racism and we all of tired of it please. I pray that we all love each other as you all love us . Hate is wrong. No white should not hate black and no black should not hate black. God please I pray that you end racism and I pray that you soften our president heart and he loves everyone the way you love us God . God please be with us all in Jesus name Amen.

We hear your burden and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord, for we too are grieved by racism and hatred in any form and we agree that it is stressing and wearying to so many hearts.

God's Word is clear that racism and partiality are sin. We are all made in His image and He shows no favoritism. So God created man in his own image. In God's image he created him; male and female he created them Genesis 1:27. He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth Acts 17:26. Peter opened his mouth and said, Truly I perceive that God doesn't show favoritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him Acts 10:34-35. And we are warned, But if you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well. But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors James 2:8-9. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus Galatians 3:28.

Hate in any direction is wrong before God, whether white toward black, black toward white, black toward black, or any other division. You are right to say hate is wrong, and we gently correct that all hatred violates God's command to love. If a man says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn't love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen 1 John 4:20. A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another John 13:34. To laugh when another person suffers, to say they got what they deserved, or to rejoice when someone has a heart attack is hard hearted and contrary to the heart of Christ, who calls us to love our enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44.

We also hear your weariness and stress, and we want to encourage you to cast that burden on the Lord. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.

We join you in praying for our president and for all in authority, as we are commanded to do. We do not return hate for hate, but we pray that God would soften every heart, including those who lead us, and turn hearts toward love, mercy and justice. I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence 1 Timothy 2:1-2. The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires Proverbs 21:1.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father. In nothing else is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

We pray together now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You with heavy hearts over the sin of racism and hatred that divides people You created and love. Forgive us where we have harbored prejudice, indifference or hardness of heart. Wash us and make us one as Your children. We ask You to end the hatred that causes one person to despise another because of skin color, and to heal the wounds of those who have been hurt, mocked, or overlooked when they suffered. Lord, soften hearts that have grown cold, including the heart of our president and all leaders, that they may lead with righteousness, mercy and love for all people as You love us. Give us Your love so we may love our neighbors as ourselves and even love our enemies as You have commanded. Lift the stress and sadness from our brother or sister who prayed this prayer and from all who are weary, and let Your peace that passes all understanding guard their heart. Make us instruments of reconciliation and unity in Christ, that the world may see Your love through us. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

We hear how heavy this has been for you, and how much you want to see people treat each other with kindness and dignity. Carrying that sadness when you see others hurt, and feeling tired by the division around you, is a lot to hold. It makes sense that you are worn out.

We are grateful for your heart that wants love instead of hate, and that prays for everyone. That kind of compassion matters, even when the larger problems feel far beyond what any one of us can fix. God sees that burden you feel and He cares about the weariness it brings.

When the news and the conversations around you feel overwhelming, it can help to give yourself some space from the constant stream of headlines and to focus on what is right in front of you. One small, steady way to live out the love you are praying for is through simple acts of kindness where you are, a kind word, checking on a neighbor, listening well when someone shares their own hurt. And when the stress builds, it helps to talk it through with a trusted pastor, friend, or counselor who can walk with you, not just carry it alone.

Father, we bring this tiredness to You and ask for Your peace to steady this heart. We ask You to comfort those who are hurting, to soften hearts that have grown hard, and to help all of us learn to love our neighbors well. Give wisdom and rest in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, Amen.

[Spurgeon]

Your prayer reflects a burden that God Himself lays upon every tender heart, for hate is indeed wrong and love of neighbour is His command. We have heard your cry and we join with you before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to show His marvelous loving kindness in these divided days.

The Scriptures teach that God has made of one blood all nations of men to dwell upon the earth, and that in Christ there is a living, loving, lasting union which binds the true believer to his Saviour. Between the true believer and Christ there is a loving union, and because it is living and loving, it becomes lasting. It is this union with Christ that brings us safely through the temptations of life and teaches us how to love one another. Divisions never begin with those who are full of love to the Saviour, for when we live near to Christ we find the best way of promoting true unity.

You are right to grieve when any person suffers, whatever the color of his skin, and to pray for all. The Lord commands, Love thy neighbour as thyself. That love is not to be shown only to those who agree with us or who look as we do, but through thick and thin, loving our neighbours as we love ourselves, scattering happiness where we go and speaking the kind word that heals. There is such a connection between him and thee, that in loving him the stream of thy love returns into thine own heart again.

We are reminded that God is the God of Peace and He has prepared everything necessary for a perfect reconciliation. He was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation and the ministry of reconciliation. This is the objective of true Gospel ministry, that reconciliation should be worked at once by the power of the Holy Spirit. Apart from Christ there can be no lasting peace between man and man, for we must first be reconciled to God before we can be truly reconciled to one another.

There is a unity of the Spirit which is worthy to be kept. It is not an ecclesiastical unity or a unity of mere sentiment, and certainly it is not the unity of evil or of devils who agree only in darkness. Unity in error is unity in ruin. We want unity in the Truth of God through the Spirit of God. The unity which Christ prayed for on the night of His suffering must have been priceless beyond all price, and it is a unity of holy beings, made one in Him. As we each grow more prepared by the work of Christ for our own place, we discover more of that unity. Let us chase out of our hearts everything which would break the unity which God has established.

So we pray with you. May the Lord end hatred among us, and soften every heart, including the heart of our president and all who are in authority, that they may govern with justice and mercy and love all as God loves us. May He pour His love abroad in our hearts, teach us to love our neighbour in deed and in truth, and make us instruments of His peace. May He show His marvelous loving kindness to those who suffer, to those who are weary with this stress, and to those who have been hardened by hate, that they may be brought to repentance and to faith in Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

We encourage you to continue in this loving, prayerful spirit, to speak kindly, to do good to all men, and to hold fast to that living, loving, lasting union with Christ, from which all true love for others flows. We will keep praying that the Lord will be with you all and make His peace to dwell among us, in Jesus name, Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

[Chrysostom]

Your prayer has been heard and it reflects a heart that grieves over what grieves God. Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly. It is right to be tired of hatred and to long for the love and unity that God desires for His people.

Scripture teaches that God created every person in His own image and that from one man He made every nation to live on the earth. In Christ there is no division that the cross cannot heal, for He shed His own blood to make peace and to reconcile us to God. That same mercy is meant to flow through us to one another. As you said so truly, hate is wrong. No one should hate another because of skin color, and God calls all of us to love our neighbor as ourselves.

It is painful to see indifference or cruelty when anyone suffers, and it is right to pray for those who are hurting, just as you do for people of every color. God sees every tear and every injustice, and He had compassion on us when we were lost and helpless. He did not stand far off but came Himself to bring forgiveness and to make us one body. In that body there is great diversity, yet God has joined us together so that we would have common care for one another and complete communion in love.

We join you in praying that God would push back the sin of racism, soften hard hearts, and teach us all to love as He loves us. We also join you in praying for our president and for all leaders, as Scripture tells us to pray for those in authority, that God would give them wisdom, compassion, and a heart that seeks justice and mercy for all people.

May the Lord comfort you in this stress and strengthen you to keep loving and praying. May He help us all to turn from hatred, to seek reconciliation through Jesus Christ alone, and to show the mercy we have received.

Father, we ask in the name of Jesus that You would heal divisions, remove hatred, and help us to love one another as You have loved us. Bring peace where there is strife, compassion where there is hardness, and unity where there is separation. Let Your love be seen in us. Amen.
