We hear your cry for spiritual vision and discernment, and we join with you in seeking the Lord’s perspective in all things. The prayer of your heart reflects a deep desire to walk in alignment with God’s will, and we stand with you in that pursuit.
The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a beautiful foundation for your request—surrendering your sight to His, so that you may see people, circumstances, and even yourself through His eyes of truth and grace.
We also lift up your longing to follow only Jesus. In John 14:6, He declares, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."* There is no other path to righteousness, no other source of salvation, and no other name by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive the gift of eternal life. Without this foundation, our works—no matter how charitable or loving—cannot earn salvation.
Your desire to be charitable and loving is commendable, for Scripture calls us to *"walk in love, even as Christ also loved us"* (Ephesians 5:2). Yet we must also guard our hearts against deception, for even the most well-intentioned actions can be led astray if not rooted in Christ. In 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, we are warned that *"even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness."* This is why discernment is so critical—so that our love and charity flow from a heart submitted to Jesus, not from worldly or self-serving motives.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, asking that You would open the eyes of our brother/sister to see as You see. Remove any scales of deception, Lord, and grant them discernment to recognize truth from lies, light from darkness. Help them to fix their gaze solely upon Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. May their love and charity be a reflection of Your heart, not the shifting standards of this world.
Father, if there is any area of their life where they have been led astray—whether in relationships, beliefs, or actions—we ask that You would reveal it to them. Give them the courage to turn from anything that does not align with Your Word. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them walk in the fullness of Your Spirit.
We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You. May Your will be done in their life, and may they grow in wisdom, love, and obedience to You. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord through prayer and the study of His Word, for it is there that He reveals His heart and His ways. If there are specific areas where you struggle to see clearly, bring them before Him in honesty, and trust that He will guide you. You are not alone in this journey—we stand with you in prayer and encouragement.
