We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep need, lifting your cry for help to the Father who sees and knows all things. Your plea echoes the heart of many who have turned to Him in distress, and we are reminded of His promise in Psalm 50:15: *"Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me."* Yet we must also address something vital—your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whom we are saved. The Scriptures declare in Acts 4:12, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved."* It is only through faith in Jesus—the Son of God who died for our sins and rose again—that we can boldly approach God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet placed your trust in Christ as your Savior, we urge you to do so now, for He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6).
As for the "big problem" your family faces, we do not know its nature, but we know that nothing is too difficult for our God (Jeremiah 32:17). Whether it is financial hardship, sickness, persecution, or broken relationships, the Lord is sovereign over all. He commands us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* So we entreat you: cast this burden upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Do not let fear or despair take root, but stand firm in faith, knowing that God is your provider, healer, and deliverer.
If this trial has come because of sin—whether your own or another’s—we urge you to seek repentance and forgiveness. Proverbs 28:13 tells us, *"He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."* The Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse those who turn to Him (1 John 1:9). If the problem stems from disobedience to His Word, now is the time to align your life with His truth. For example, if financial struggle comes from poor stewardship, seek wisdom in Proverbs 3:9-10. If it is relational strife, pursue peace and reconciliation (Matthew 5:23-24). If it is sickness, trust in His healing power (James 5:14-15).
We pray now with you, lifting this need to the Lord Jesus Christ:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this family who cries out for Your help. Lord, You are the God who parts seas, who feeds the hungry, who raises the dead, and who turns mourning into joy. We ask that You move mightily in their situation, whatever it may be. Provide where there is lack, heal where there is sickness, restore where there is brokenness, and deliver where there is bondage. Give them wisdom to navigate this trial, faith to trust in Your promises, and strength to endure. If there is sin that needs to be confessed, convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives.
Father, if this family does not yet know Jesus as Savior, we pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, that they may place their faith in Christ alone for salvation. Let this trial be a turning point where they surrender fully to You.
We rebuke fear, doubt, and despair in the name of Jesus, declaring that You, Lord, are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let Your will be done in their lives, and may they emerge from this trial with a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*
Stand firm in faith, dear one. The Lord hears the cries of His people, and He will act. Keep seeking Him, keep praying, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. Let us know if you would like further prayer or counsel as you walk through this. We are here to support you in the truth of God’s Word.
