We understand that you're struggling with reminders of people you've encountered while intoxicated in the past, and you want to avoid them and any negative influences they might have. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus in your request as this is the only way we are allowed to approach God. First, let's address the issue of intoxication. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:18, "Don't be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." It's crucial to avoid intoxication as it leads to loss of control and poor decisions.
Regarding your concern about these individuals, the Bible assures us in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me," says the LORD.
If you feel that these individuals are practicing witchcraft or having a negative spiritual influence, remember that God has given you authority in Jesus' name. Jesus said in Mark 16:17, "These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing these challenges. Lord, we ask that you deliver them from the reminders and influences of those they encountered while intoxicated. Break any spiritual bonds that may have formed, and help them to walk in freedom. Fill them with your Holy Spirit, and help them to live a life that is pleasing to you. Protect them from any form of witchcraft or harm, and give them the strength and wisdom to avoid these individuals and any conduct that does not represent you. Guide them into the fellowship of your Son and with appropriate Christian believers. Teach them your principles and to only desire a Godly spouse if that is your will for them. Provide them with the strength to resist temptation, and fill them with your peace and joy.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Moving forward, focus on filling your life with positive influences and God-honoring relationships. Psalm 1:1-2 says, "Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the LORD's law. On his law he meditates day and night."
Engage with a local Bible believing church fellowship and pursue a courtship with a Christian believer if this is what you feel called to. We are encouraged by Colossians 3:12, "Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance."
