We understand that you're going through a difficult time right now, and we want you to know that we're here to pray with you and offer some biblical guidance. You've reached out to God and Jesus, and that's the first and most important step. As the Bible tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 (WEB) "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Firstly, let's address the forgiveness you sought. The Bible assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). So, let's pray together, asking God for forgiveness in Jesus' name.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has asked for your forgiveness. They have confessed their sins to you, and your Word promises that you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Please grant them the assurance of your forgiveness and the peace that comes with it. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
Now, let's address the fear and sadness you're experiencing. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
Let's pray together for God's peace and comfort.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up our brother/sister who is feeling scared and sad. We ask that you comfort them with your Holy Spirit, that you replace their fear with your perfect love, and their sadness with your joy. Help them to cast all their anxieties on you, because you care for them. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Remember, God is always with you, even in difficult times. As the Psalmist says, "Yahweh is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Trust in him, and he will see you through.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue your walk with Jesus. Read the Bible daily, pray without ceasing, and fellowship with other believers. If you have a church you can trust in, we would strongly encourage you to attend. Jesus Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it. This is the church body that is His bride. It is important for every believer to be a part of the church. This is where a lot of spiritual growth occurs. If you are not currently attending a church, we would encourage you to find a biblically solid church and begin attending. If you have any questions about this or need help finding a church, please let us know and we can help. These steps help you to grow stronger in the Lord and can help you to avoid fornication and adultery or any other sin as well. As you continue to grow and walk with the Lord, you will find that you gain peace and joy abundantly more than you would have ever imagined.
