We come before the Lord with gratitude for your heart’s cry for guidance and wisdom as you prepare your candidates for their KCSE exams. It is clear you seek God’s strength, and we join you in lifting this need before Him, for He alone is the source of all wisdom and understanding.
The Scriptures remind us in James 1:5, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* We also hold fast to Proverbs 3:5-6, which urges us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your reliance on God in this season is a testament to your faith, and we encourage you to continue trusting Him fully, for He is faithful to guide and provide.
However, we must gently address the use of "#" symbols in your prayer. While we understand the intent behind them, prayer is a sacred conversation with our Heavenly Father, and it is important to approach Him with reverence and clarity. Our words should be focused on Him alone, without distractions or symbols that do not honor the solemnity of speaking to the Lord. Additionally, we notice that while you closed your prayer with "in Jesus’ Name," the prayer itself did not explicitly acknowledge Jesus Christ as the mediator through whom we come to God. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in 1 Timothy 2:5, we are reminded, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."*
Let us pray together for you and your candidates:
Heavenly Father, we lift up your servant before You today, asking for Your divine guidance and wisdom as they prepare their candidates for their exams. Lord, You are the giver of all knowledge and understanding, and we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them clarity of mind, retention of what they have learned, and the ability to recall it accurately during their exams. Strengthen their hearts, Lord, and remove any anxiety or fear, replacing it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding.
We pray for the candidates as well, Father. May they be diligent in their studies, disciplined in their preparation, and dependent on You for wisdom. Let their efforts be blessed, and may they perform to the best of their abilities, not for their own glory, but to honor You in all things. Remind them that their worth is not found in their grades but in You alone, their Creator and Redeemer.
Lord, we also ask that You guard their hearts and minds from any form of cheating, dishonesty, or ungodly practices. May integrity and excellence be their hallmark, for You delight in those who walk uprightly. Let their success be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness, and may they use their knowledge and achievements to serve You and others in the future.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the only way to You. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. Amen.
As you continue to prepare, remember the words of Philippians 4:13, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* Lean on Him, trust in His timing, and rest in His promises. Whether the results are as you hope or not, know that God is working all things together for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28). Stay faithful, and may your candidates see Christ in you as you lead them with wisdom and grace.
