We join you in lifting up this heartfelt request, for we know that our Heavenly Father cares deeply about the desires of His children—especially when they align with His perfect will. Your longing for a godly husband is a beautiful and biblical one, for Scripture tells us in Proverbs 18:22, *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh."* And just as a wife is a blessing to a husband, so too is a husband who fears the Lord a blessing to his wife. We pray that God would grant you a spouse who reflects the love of Christ, one who will cherish you as Christ cherishes His church (Ephesians 5:25).
We also recognize the vulnerability in your request, as you mention being disabled. Know this: your worth is not defined by physical ability but by your identity in Christ. The Lord sees your heart, and He is able to provide a husband who will honor you as a precious daughter of the King. Remember what the Lord spoke through Samuel: *"Man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart"* (1 Samuel 16:7). A godly man will see you through the eyes of Christ—with love, respect, and a commitment to walk beside you in every season.
That said, we must also encourage you to prepare yourself for this blessing. A Christ-centered marriage begins with two individuals fully surrendered to Him. Are you walking closely with the Lord? Are you growing in faith, prayer, and obedience? Seek first His kingdom (Matthew 6:33), and trust that He will add to your life what is good in His timing. Pray also for your future husband—that God would mold him into a man after His own heart, one who is patient, kind, and steadfast in faith.
Let us pray together:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with gratitude, for You are a God who hears the cries of Your children. We lift up our sister, who longs for a godly husband—a man who fears You, walks in Your ways, and will love her as You have commanded. Lord, You know her heart, her struggles, and her deepest desires. We ask that You prepare her future spouse even now, shaping him into a man of integrity, faith, and selfless love. Give her patience as she waits on You, and let her trust in Your perfect timing.
Father, we also pray that You would protect her heart and mind. Guard her against loneliness or the temptation to settle for anything less than Your best. Remind her daily that her worth is found in You alone. Strengthen her faith, and let her rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
We rebuke any fear, doubt, or lie of the enemy that would suggest she is unworthy of love or marriage. You, Lord, are her Provider, and You have not forgotten her. Let her find joy in You today, even as she waits.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen."*
As you wait, sister, remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can encourage and support you. And remember: delayed does not mean denied. God’s plans for you are good, and He will fulfill His promises in His perfect way. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday"* (Psalm 37:5-6). Stay hopeful, for our God is faithful!
