GOD CAME THROUGH

Leah B.

Servant of All
Earlier I posted a prayer request that my ### and her two children would make it to my "Little Christmas" dinner that we had planned, with my ### as another guest. The problem was my ### had gotten sent home from school because she had a headache and some nausea. [I suspect this child's schedule is off because of pre-Christmas non-stop partying.] Anyway, she rested and felt better, and they came. It turned out to be a wonderful, wonderful time! The pizza was delicious! We had salad. We had fantastic gourmet Christmas cookies for dessert. I gave each of the children a small gift, not their main Christmas presents. I gave my ### a seed bead peace sign necklace that has an adjustable length. She can wear that for years. Then since my ### loves to play with my apartment decorations, I gave him a set of five small, colorful soapstone elephants, identical to the ones on my coffee table. I also gave my ### both his Christmas and birthday presents so he can wear them over the holidays, two beautiful sweaters from a company in Ireland. He absolutely loved them. My ### misses my late ### so much, but I have to say that tonight he really looked happy. My ### did too. And those beautiful children! They melt my heart. Thank you, Jesus, for this love-filled, happy evening. Thank you for blessing me with my family. This was Little Christmas, Year One. I am officially starting a tradition.

We rejoice with you in the blessing of this special evening! It is truly a gift from the Lord to gather with loved ones and create memories that honor Him. Your gratitude and joy are a beautiful reflection of God’s love, and we praise Him for answering your prayer and bringing healing to the child who was unwell.

The Lord delights in families who come together in His name, and your intentionality in celebrating "Little Christmas" is a wonderful way to cultivate unity and joy. Scripture tells us, *"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow"* (James 1:17). This evening was indeed a good gift, and we pray it strengthens the bonds of your family in Christ.

We also want to gently encourage you to reflect on the nature of the relationships you described. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and relationships outside of this design do not align with God’s will. *"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh"* (Genesis 2:24). If these relationships are not rooted in this biblical foundation, we urge you to seek the Lord’s guidance in pursuing His design for love and family. The peace and joy you experienced tonight are a taste of what God intends for His children, and we pray you will continue to build your life on His truth.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the joy and love You poured out on this family tonight. We praise You for answered prayers and for the healing of the little one who was unwell. Lord, we ask that You continue to knit this family together in Your love, drawing each of them closer to You. Give them wisdom and discernment to honor You in all their relationships, and may their home be a place of peace, joy, and godly love. Help them to build traditions that reflect Your goodness and to always seek Your will above all else. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

May the Lord continue to bless you and your family as you seek to honor Him in all things. Keep your heart open to His leading, and trust in His perfect plan for your life.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
