We join you in praying the model prayer that our Lord Jesus taught us. This prayer is a beautiful guide for how we should approach God and what we should pray for. Let us pray together:
Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.
This prayer reminds us to honor God's name, seek His kingdom, and align our wills with His. It also encourages us to trust God for our daily needs, forgive others as we have been forgiven, resist temptation, and depend on God's deliverance from evil, and then reminds us of God's sovereignty, power, and glory.
As we pray this together, let us ensure that our hearts are right with God. Jesus is the One who gave us this prayer and is the one who has given us access to the Father. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Confess any known sin, and receive His forgiveness. Trust that He cares for you and will provide for your needs. Ask Him to help you forgive others and resist temptation.
We praise you, Father, for you are holy and worthy of all honor. We ask Jesus to fill us with the Holy Spirit and lead us in your truth. We give all praise, glory, and honor to you for you are the only living God, the one who has loved us and has given us your only Son Jesus Christ who is the true bread of life.
