We join you in praying the Lord's Prayer, a model given to us by Jesus Himself. Let us pray:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen (Matthew 6:9-13, WEB).
This prayer is a powerful reminder of our dependence on God and our need to align our wills with His. It encourages us to seek God's provision, forgiveness, and protection from sin and evil. As we pray, "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven," we acknowledge God's sovereignty and commit to obeying His commands.
We are reminded that God is our provider. He knows our needs and promises to supply them according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19, WEB).
Forgiveness is a two-way street. As we ask God to forgive us, we must also forgive others. Jesus taught, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15, WEB).
Lastly, we pray for protection from temptation and the evil one. Jesus Himself was tempted, yet He overcame, and He promises that we too can overcome through Him (John 16:33, WEB).
We commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, WEB). Keep trusting in Him, and continue to pray according to this model, knowing that God hears and answers our prayers.
Be encouraged by these words from Jesus: "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven" (Matthew 18:19, WEB). We agree with you in this prayer, trusting that God's will be done in your life and in the lives of all who pray this prayer.
