God and us

:tinysmile_classes_tWhen things seem so dreary, why do we first try to figure out what to do? How can we make it better? It seems as though God is our last resort.

Do we think that our problems, trials and tribulations are just way too hard for God to figure out? Or is it that we don't want to wait for or hear His answer?

I am not posting this blog from hearsay. This is coming from years of experience of not taking things to God. Every situation in our lives, be it our fault or a testing of our faith, leads to a lesson and hopefully growth. Not only that, but it leads to the ultimate purpose for our lives, if we chose to accept it.

I am learning more and more to trust God with things that go on in my life. I'm not saying that I am perfect and that I will be a perfect Christian and woman of God at all times. I'm human and we make mistakes. And if we didn't, we wouldn't need God there would be no purpose for Him.

I pray that God teaches us to bring everything to Him first. Not just the bad but also the good. I pray that we can learn not to try to figure out things ourselves. Only He knows what's best for us.

I pray that we learn to accept what He says because He knows the overall outcome. I know that I'm rambling on; but, I just felt the need to share this. I love you all and God bless you.

Well said dear friend! I often remind myself, and others, that God must always be our first priority and never our last resort. I also remember quite often that He always sent the disciples out in pairs...it tells me that He wants us to lean on one another, learn from one another, worship Him together. Personally, I feel the hardest virtue in my faith to master is patience. As the world gets more and more "have it now" oriented, it gets harder and harder to be still, stay the course and let God be God. I glad to know that you are in the same thought pool...and I'm thankful you're getting on to it much earlier in life than I did. I've experienced a lot of personal tragedy in the last 10 years, but I can honestly say God has taught me more in those 10 that I learned in the previous 35. He sure knows what He's doing. I thank you for sharing these thoughts and pray for patience, trust and unwavering faith for not only you and I, but all Christians.
