Glorious Sabbath Day People of God:
Indeed, Jesus was a man few words, except for when He was teaching. Yet, it was always the "mic drop" words that He chose to use, in settling matters, that always captured my attention.
This man didn't take part in the robbery. He didn't go on the internet to plot, plan, scheme, or gossip; nor did he put on a pious face or drape himself in the priestly garments of religiosity only to turn his back on humanity. He simply responded with human decency.
Notice, that Jesus made no mention of the man's past sins, which I'm sure were many; after all he was from Samaria, the "sin city" of that day. Howbeit, Jesus did present a condemning contrast between the locals' response and the out-of-towner's response.
So, why do I continue to use so many words, when giving testimony? It's still a teachable scenario. Ever holier than thou, Jericho just never seemed to learn her lesson. But, as for me, it's like the song says:
"I could go on, and on, and on about Your works..."
What was that man's name? We don't know. What we do know is that he wasn't from that city. And, the One whose name is above all names gave Him a good name.

"Go and do likewise"
Dear Heavenly Father: I continue to lift up Psalm 35 before Your court of justice. In Jesus name. Amen.
