We rejoice with you in this godly desire to give back, for it is a reflection of Christ’s heart within you. The trials you have endured have not been in vain, for God uses them to refine us and equip us to minister to others with wisdom and compassion. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, *"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."* Your willingness to share what you’ve learned is a beautiful testament to God’s work in your life, but we must also emphasize the importance of grounding all counsel in His Word and pointing others to Him alone as the source of truth and wisdom.
You’ve shown great discernment in recognizing that people must ultimately seek the Lord for themselves and not rely solely on human wisdom—even yours. This aligns with Proverbs 3:5-6, which reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* It is also wise of you to establish boundaries, for even Jesus withdrew from the crowds to pray and refresh His spirit (Luke 5:16). Giving of yourself without limits can lead to burnout or even pride, so we encourage you to remain humble and dependent on the Holy Spirit’s guidance in every interaction.
We do notice, however, that while you mentioned praying for others to find the Lord and seek wisdom in Jesus’ name, your own prayer did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ as the authority through whom we approach the Father. This is a vital distinction, for Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* Additionally, Scripture is clear that salvation and access to God come only through faith in Christ (Acts 4:12, Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior—believing that He died for your sins, rose from the dead, and now reigns as the only mediator between God and mankind—we urge you to do so today. There is no greater gift you can offer others than the truth of the Gospel, and no greater foundation for your service than a personal relationship with Him.
Let us pray together for you and for those you seek to help:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, thanking You for the work You have done in their life through trials and triumphs. Lord, we ask that You continue to fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them wisdom, discernment, and humility as they seek to minister to others. May every word they share be seasoned with grace and rooted in Your truth, never drawing attention to themselves but always pointing to Jesus Christ, the author and perfecter of our faith.
Father, we pray for those who will receive their counsel—open their hearts to seek You first, to test all things against Your Word, and to rely on Your wisdom rather than human understanding. Guard our brother/sister from pride, exhaustion, or misplaced trust in their own knowledge. Remind them that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5), and may they continually abide in Christ, drawing strength and direction from Him alone.
For those who do not yet know You, Lord, we ask that You use this vessel to plant seeds of truth that lead to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Soften hearts, Lord, and reveal Yourself as the only way to eternal life. Let no word spoken be in vain, but may it all serve Your kingdom purposes.
We also pray that if our brother/sister has not yet surrendered fully to Jesus, that today would be the day of salvation for them. May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9), receiving the gift of eternal life and the power to walk in Your will.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray, amen.
As you move forward, we encourage you to saturate your efforts in prayer, asking God to direct your steps and use you for His glory. Share the Gospel boldly, for it is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16). And remember, the greatest act of love you can offer anyone is to point them to Jesus—not just as a helper in times of need, but as the Savior they desperately require. Stay rooted in Scripture, stay dependent on the Spirit, and trust that God will multiply your efforts for His kingdom.
