Give us the wisdom to make choices that honor you Lord

We join you in seeking the Lord’s wisdom, for it is written in James 1:5, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* Your heart’s desire to honor the Lord in every choice is a reflection of a spirit surrendered to His will, and we commend you for this posture of humility before Him.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), and we must continually seek His face, not just His hand. Too often, the world offers counterfeit wisdom—human reasoning that leans on personal understanding rather than trusting in the Lord with all our hearts (Proverbs 3:5-6). But you have rightly acknowledged that true wisdom comes only from above, and it is pure, peaceable, gentle, and full of mercy (James 3:17).

Let us also remember that wisdom is not just knowledge but the *application* of godly truth in our daily lives. It requires discernment to distinguish between what is good and what is *best*—what aligns with God’s perfect will. As Romans 12:2 reminds us, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."*

We must also be vigilant, for the enemy seeks to distort our decisions with deception. Ephesians 5:15-17 warns, *"Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise; redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."* Every choice—whether in relationships, finances, career, or daily conduct—should be measured against Scripture and submitted to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Now, let us pray together for you and all who seek the Lord’s wisdom:

*"Heavenly Father, we thank You for this brother/sister who comes before You with a humble and teachable heart, desiring to walk in Your wisdom. Lord, You alone are the source of all true understanding, and we ask that You flood their mind with Your Word, their heart with Your peace, and their steps with Your direction. Remove every distraction, every voice of the world or the enemy that would lead them astray. Let them not lean on their own understanding but acknowledge You in all their ways, that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:6).

Grant them discernment to recognize Your voice above all others. When faced with decisions, let them pause and seek Your face first, knowing that Your wisdom is perfect and Your timing is flawless. Strengthen them to say ‘no’ to what is not of You, even when it seems convenient or pleasing to the flesh. Fill them with the courage to obey, even when it costs them.

We rebuked any spirit of confusion, doubt, or fear that would cloud their judgment. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that their mind is renewed, their spirit is sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and their choices are aligned with Your eternal purposes. May they walk in the confidence that comes from knowing they are led by You, the Good Shepherd.

Father, we also ask that You surround them with godly counsel—believers who will speak truth in love and hold them accountable to Your Word. Let iron sharpen iron (Proverbs 27:17) in their life, that they may grow in wisdom and stature before You.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You delight in guiding those who seek You. All glory, honor, and praise belong to You, in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen."*

Stand firm in this, beloved: the Lord *wants* to lead you. He is not hiding His will from you but is waiting for you to seek Him wholeheartedly. As you continue to pursue wisdom, immerse yourself in His Word, for it is *"a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path"* (Psalm 119:105). And remember, the ultimate display of wisdom is a life surrendered to Christ, for *"the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy"* (James 3:17).

Walk in this wisdom, and watch as the Lord orders your steps for His glory.

We're right there with you, sister, seeking the Lord's wisdom in every decision we make. It's such a comfort to know that we can come before Him with our humble requests, trusting that He will guide us according to His will. Let's remember that wisdom isn't just about knowing the right thing to do, but also about doing it in the right way and at the right time.

As we've been reminded, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. So let's keep our hearts close to Him, seeking His face in all things. Let's not lean on our own understanding, but trust in the Lord with all our hearts, acknowledging Him in all our ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). He promises to direct our paths, and we can rest in that promise.

Let's also be mindful of the enemy's schemes. He wants to deceive us, to lead us astray from the path of righteousness. But we have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, guiding us and helping us discern God's will. So let's stay vigilant, measuring every choice against Scripture and submitting it to the Spirit's leading.

Now, let's pray together:

"Lord, we come before You with humble hearts, desiring to walk in Your wisdom. Help us to seek Your face first in every decision, trusting that Your wisdom is perfect and Your timing is flawless. Give us the courage to obey, even when it costs us. Surround us with godly counsel, Lord, believers who will speak truth in love and hold us accountable to Your Word. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift your heart’s cry before the Lord, standing with you in prayer for His divine wisdom to guide every decision you face. The Scriptures remind us that if any of us lacks wisdom, we may ask of God, who gives generously to all without finding fault—and we have been earnestly praying that He would pour out His wisdom upon you, illuminating your path with clarity and purpose.

As a few days have passed since you first shared this request, we are eager to hear how the Lord has been working in your life. Have you sensed His leading in new ways, or experienced His peace confirming your steps? If God has answered your prayer, we would love for you to share a praise report with us, so we might rejoice together and give Him the glory He deserves. There is nothing more encouraging than witnessing how faithfully He responds to the prayers of His children.

If you still find yourself seeking His direction or waiting for clarity, we want you to know that we remain steadfast in interceding for you. Do not hesitate to share your request again as a new post, so we can continue to cover you in prayer, trusting that the Lord is at work even in the waiting. His timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours—we are confident He will guide you in the way you should go.

May you be filled with the assurance that He is near, speaking to you through His Word, His Spirit, and the godly counsel around you. We are praying that you would walk in the confidence of Proverbs 3:5-6, trusting in the Lord with all your heart and leaning not on your own understanding, as He makes your paths straight.

We are here with you, believing that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. May He bless you richly as you continue to seek His face and surrender your choices to His will.
