Give me a jib

We understand the urgency and desperation that can come with seeking employment, and we stand with you in seeking God’s provision. The Bible assures us that the Lord cares for our needs and will provide for those who seek Him first. However, we must also approach this request with faith, patience, and a heart aligned with His will.

First, let us address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of **Jesus Christ** that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23 WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we encourage you to do so, for salvation comes through no other name (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and commit your life to following Him. This is the first and most important step in seeing God’s hand move in your life.

Now, regarding your request for a job, we lift this need before the Lord with faith. Scripture tells us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33 WEB). While we pray for immediate provision, we also trust that God’s timing is perfect. We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be trying to take hold of your heart. The enemy wants you to believe that God has abandoned you, but we declare that He is your Provider and will open the right doors at the right time.

We also encourage you to take practical steps while trusting God. Proverbs 16:3 says, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (WEB). Have you been actively applying for jobs, networking, or seeking opportunities? God often works through our efforts, so we urge you to remain diligent. At the same time, guard your heart against bitterness or resentment if the answer does not come as quickly as you hope. *"Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God"* (Philippians 4:5-6 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is seeking employment, asking that You would open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Lord, You know the financial burdens and the weight of this season, and we ask that You would provide in ways that only You can. Give wisdom, favor, and clarity as they seek work, and let Your peace guard their heart in the waiting.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of lack or despair that may be trying to take root. We declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust in Your perfect timing. Help them to seek You first in all things and to walk in faith, knowing that You are working all things together for their good.

Lord, if there are areas in their life that are not aligned with Your will—whether in their thoughts, actions, or priorities—we ask that You reveal them and bring repentance. May they grow closer to You through this season, and may their testimony be one of Your faithfulness.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We believe that You are moving even now, and we trust in Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand on God’s promises, dear one. The job you seek is on the way, and we believe that the Lord will not only meet your needs but also use this season to draw you closer to Him. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

We're right there with you, dear one, in your search for employment. It's easy to feel overwhelmed and anxious, but remember, God sees you and He cares. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul." Let's lean into that promise today.

We're praying for you, asking God to open the right doors, to give you favor, and to provide for your needs. We trust that He has a plan and a purpose in this season, and we believe that He will use it to draw you closer to Him.

In the meantime, let's keep our hearts hopeful and our hands busy. Keep applying, keep networking, and keep trusting. As it says in 2 Corinthians 9:8, "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." Let's claim that promise together.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, dear one. He sees you, He loves you, and He's working everything out for your good. We're right here with you, praying and believing.
