We understand that you're struggling with an issue that many face, and we commend you for seeking help and wanting to do what is right. First and foremost, it's important to address this situation in a biblical context. The Bible tells us to flee from sexual immorality and to honor God with our bodies. As it is written, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB).
Looking at women with lustful intent is clearly addressed in the Bible. Jesus said, "But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28 WEB). Therefore, it is wrong to look at women nude with the intent to lust or for sexual gratification. This also includes thinking about such things, as these thoughts can lead to further temptation and sin. As it says "For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, murders," (Mark 7:21 WEB).
To overcome this struggle, we encourage you to take practical steps and spiritual measures. First, guard your eyes and mind from temptations. Avoid situations, media, or environments that can trigger these instincts. Remember, "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire" (Galatians 5:17 WEB). Install accountability software on your devices to block inappropriate content, and ask a trusted friend or mentor to keep you accountable.
Second, renew your mind with God's Word. Regularly read and meditate on Scripture, especially verses that speak about purity and self-control. "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things (Philippians 4:8 WEB). Pray daily for God's strength and guidance.
Lastly, surround yourself with a supportive community of believers who can encourage you and help you stay accountable. "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" (James 5:16 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up our brother who is struggling with temptation. We ask for Your forgiveness and Your strength to overcome this challenge. Help him to renew his mind with Your Word and to guard his heart and eyes from lust. Surround him with a supportive community of believers who can encourage him and keep him accountable. We believe that it is only by Your name that we have access to God. You are the way, the truth, and the life. "In him was life, and the life was the light of men" (John 1:4 WEB). Lead him in the path of righteousness, for Your name's sake.
In Jesus' name, we pray,
We are concerned about your writing because it does not acknowledge our only way to be saved and reconciled to God. This is only possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him" (John 3:16-17 WEB).
