We hear your cry and we stand with you in this intense spiritual battle, and we join you in declaring that you are alive in Christ and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. We understand the torment of being awakened to evil voices and the feeling of being surrounded by wickedness that wants to steal, kill and destroy, and we want you to know that God sees you, hears you, and is your refuge.

The Word tells us the truth about our enemy. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith 1 Peter 5:8-9. And also Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:11-12. This is real warfare, but we do not fight in our own strength.

We also gently address some of what you have expressed out of deep anguish. We hear your words about wanting your mom gone and wanting those who are evil to be gone and to have nothing. We understand this comes from pain and exhaustion, but Scripture calls us to honor our father and mother Exodus 20:12 and to leave vengeance in the hands of the Lord. Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. We are not to pray for personal revenge, but to pray for God's protection, justice, and righteousness to prevail, and for God to deal with evil according to His perfect will. We also gently encourage you to turn away from profanity even when rebuking the enemy, for we are called to speak with grace and authority in Christ, not with the language of the world.

We rejoice that you ended your cry with the blood of Jesus, for that is our victory and our access to the Father. There is no other name by which we are saved and by which we have authority over darkness. Jesus said, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you Luke 10:19. And they overcame him because of the Lamb's blood, and because of the word of their testimony Revelation 12:11. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can resist the devil and have him flee. Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. For greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, covered by the blood of the Lamb. We thank You that You are faithful, and that You will establish us and guard us from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We ask You to surround this dear one with Your presence as a shield. We pray that You would command Your angels concerning them to guard them in all their ways Psalm 91:11. Lord, we rebuke Satan and every demonic assignment against this life, this home, this mother, these three children and these pets in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no evil shall be allowed to dwell in this dwelling and no voice of the enemy shall have authority to speak lies, accusations, or death. Let every lying spirit be silenced and flee, for You have said that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow Philippians 2:10. We ask You to fill this home with Your peace, Your light, and Your Holy Spirit, so that darkness has no place. We pray for the mother, for the children, and for every member of this household, that You would protect them, draw them close to You, and let them know Your love and salvation. Heal the weariness and torment from broken sleep and constant attack, and give deep, peaceful rest. You are our refuge and fortress, our God, in whom we trust Psalm 91:2. We ask that You would take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for good, and that You would establish this dear one firmly in Your Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers who can stand with them. We declare that they are Yours, purchased by the blood of Jesus, and that the enemy has no claim upon them. Let Your justice and Your mercy be done according to Your perfect will, and let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this life as it is in heaven. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm, dear one. Stay rooted daily in Scripture, speak the Word aloud over your home, put on the full armor of God each morning, pray without ceasing, and do not isolate yourself. Reach out to a trusted pastor or mature Christian believers who can pray with you in person and walk with you. The Lord is near to all those who call on him Psalm 145:18, and He will not forsake you. Keep calling on the name of Jesus, for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved Romans 10:13, and keep trusting that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ Philippians 1:6. We are praying for you to have great peace, protection, and rest, and that you will hear the voice of your Shepherd above every other voice, for His sheep hear His voice John 10:27.

Your cry for deliverance has been heard, and there is mercy with the Lord for all who look to Him in their distress. You have said you are alive, and you desire to live and not to be overcome by evil, and that desire itself is a reason to give thanks, for the Psalmist says, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

There is indeed an enemy who goes about to steal and to destroy, and Scripture calls him the prince of the power of the air. Yet our comfort is not that we can by our own curses drive him away, but that Christ has overcome the world. In Him we have peace, though in the world we have tribulation. He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. That deliverance is not by our imprecations upon others, but by the blood of atonement and the immutable love of the ever blessed Three in One.

For this reason we must wisely moderate our anger against second causes. Our afflictions, though they may come distinctly from the malice of men or the temptations of Satan, yet lie within the fence of omnipotent overruling. Nothing comes apart from Divine permission, and it is hopeful to know that all our ills are under the hand of a Father who does all things well. To perceive that our smarts and sorrows are seen by Him is better than to cherish wrath, for then we may say, The will of the Lord be done. Vengeance belongs not to us, but to the Lord, who has said, I will repay.

Therefore we cannot join you in asking God to take away the voice or strength of others, to leave them with nothing, or to cause any person, including your mother, to be gone from this life. Such prayers run contrary to the mind of Christ, who teaches us to pray for those who despitefully use us, and to seek their good, not their destruction. We also cannot ask God to make any to perish at our word, for judgment belongs to Him alone, and His mercy endureth forever. What we can and do pray is that the Lord would rebuke Satan and all his works, that He would snap the bands of evil habits and dark suggestions, and set free those who are held in fear.

We do pray for you, for your mother, for your three children, and for those in your household, including your pets, that the Lord would keep you all under His gracious protection. We pray that you would not be awakened to hear evil, but that the peace of God which passes understanding would guard your heart and mind. We pray that any voice of accusation would be silenced not by our cursing, but by the voice from the excellent glory which says, Deliver him from going down to the pit, for I have found a ransom. That ransom is Christ Himself, who gave Himself to bleed and die for sinners.

Look unto Him, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, for He is God and there is none else. It is all you have to do. Look out of yourself and away from yourself, and look to Christ. In Him you have both justification from the guilt of sin and sanctification and deliverance from the power of sin, for He is able to keep that which is committed unto Him.

Let us pray together. O Father, deliver this soul from the power of darkness. Cover this home with Thy hand. Let no evil have dominion. Give rest in the night and peace in the day. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Translate us more fully into the kingdom of Thy dear Son, that we may live and declare Thy works. Grant repentance and mercy where there is enmity, and turn hearts from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that we may receive forgiveness of sins through faith that is in Christ. Amen.

Seek the Lord daily in His Word, abide faithful to the Gospel of the grace of God, and walk in fellowship with sober and faithful believers who can pray with you and watch for your soul. If these distresses press heavily upon you in the night, seek also the help of a trusted pastor and those near you who can care for you in person. Be restful and happy, for you are in Christ, and He has said, These things have I spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace.

Your cry shows how weary and deeply troubled you have been, waking to distress and feeling surrounded by evil and by voices that torment you. I hear how much you long for relief, for quiet sleep, for safety for yourself, your mother, your children and even your pets, and for the work of your hands to be protected. God does hear the cries of those who are weary, and He has not left you alone.

Scripture teaches that our battle is real, and that Christ has already triumphed over the powers of darkness, leading captivity captive and bringing deliverance to those held down. Yet the same Scripture teaches us how we are to respond when we feel attacked. The makers of peace are called the sons of God, because the Son of God came to make peace between heaven and earth. That peace is described as the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy, and we are told to let the peace of God rule in our hearts as an umpire when angry and vengeful thoughts wrestle within us. We are also taught to follow peace with all people and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.

Because of this I cannot join you in praying for harm to come upon others, even those you feel have harmed you. I cannot ask God to take away a person's voice or strength, to strip away their life, to make your mother be gone, or to cause anyone to be destroyed or to disappear from the earth. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He calls us not to curse but to bless, not to return evil for evil, and to leave judgment in His hands while we seek mercy and reconciliation. To pray for others to suffer what we fear for ourselves does not bring correction, it only deepens the wound in our own soul and makes us makers of disturbance rather than makers of peace.

Instead, let us pray as Christ taught us to pray. We can ask for the Angel of peace to guard you, for the peace that Christ leaves with His disciples to rest upon your home, and for God to set a wall of protection around you and your household. We can ask Him to silence the lies and accusations of the evil one, to cleanse your mind and your home from fear, to give you sound and undisturbed sleep, and to fill your heart with sober and clear thoughts. We can ask Him to heal what is broken between you and your mother, to bring agreement and love into the household, for where those who live together are in harmony there is order and safety, and to keep your children and all entrusted to your care in His gracious hand.

If you are hearing voices that say you should be gone, or if you are waking in terror to disturbing things, please do not carry this alone. Bring this burden into the light with a faithful pastor and with trusted believers who can pray with you regularly, read Scripture with you, and stay near you. If these experiences continue to overwhelm you, please also seek help from a medical professional or counselor, for God often brings His peace through the care of others as well as through prayer.

Let me pray for you now in a way that seeks God's good will. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son who alone is our salvation, have mercy upon this dear one who feels beset by evil. Grant Your peace that passes understanding to rule in this heart. Guard this home, grant quiet sleep, drive far away every work of darkness, and let no weapon formed against Your child prosper. Heal family bonds, teach love that casts out fear, and help Your child to love and to forgive as You have forgiven us, trusting all justice to Your righteous hands. Lead into holiness and wholeness, and let Your goodness be seen in this life. Amen.

Your cry for relief from evil is heard, and the exhaustion and fear in your words are clear. To be awakened with a sense of torment, to feel surrounded by voices and intentions that want to steal and destroy, and to feel that your home, your mother, your children and even your pets are under threat, is a heavy burden. God sees that distress and He does not want you to live in that constant inner war. His desire for you is peace.

Scripture speaks of two kinds of peace that belong together. The first is peace with God. We were at enmity with Him because of sin, but Jesus made peace through His blood on the cross. He Himself is our peace, breaking down the wall between us and God so that those who were far off can be brought near and forgiven. That peace comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, and it is the foundation for everything else.

The second is the peace of God in your heart and mind. Many have peace with God and yet have not learned to walk in the peace of God day by day. The promise is that God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus said to His disciples, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The peace that He gives guards the heart and mind in a way the world cannot understand. It comes as you turn your thoughts toward Him and rest in His care, believing He will take care of what you cannot control.

The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable. When you sow peace, you reap a harvest of righteousness. That does not mean pretending evil is not real. Evil spirits are real, they are intelligent, and they seek to harm and torment, but they are not free and they are not ultimate in power. Scripture shows they are under authority and will be confined, and they begged Jesus not to send them to that confinement before their time. They can afflict, but they cannot overcome those who are sealed in Christ, and they cannot hide from His authority. Because they are spirit beings they can torment in ways that locked doors cannot stop, yet one word from Jesus silences them, and the loud cries that marked their departure when He cast them out show they must obey Him.

In your pain you have asked for swift judgment, for voices and strength to be taken from those who wish you harm, for them to be gone forever. It is right to hate evil and to ask God for deliverance and protection. Vengeance, however, belongs to the Lord. He will bring true justice in His time, and His thoughts toward His children are thoughts of peace and not of evil. He has not forgotten you. Instead of asking Him to destroy people in the way evil desires to destroy you, we ask Him to deal with evil according to His righteous judgment, to restrain the wicked, to silence the lies, and to keep you and your loved ones safe under His hand.

So we pray for you now that the blood of Jesus would cover you and your household, that the peace that comes from being forgiven and reconciled to God would settle deep in your heart, and that the perfect peace that guards the mind would keep you when fear rises and when sleep is broken. We ask the Lord to set His protection around you, your mother, your three children and your pets, to quiet every tormenting voice, to lift the weight of fear and confusion, and to help your mind stay fixed on Christ who is trustworthy and strong to deliver. We ask Him to remove what is not of Him from your home, to fill that space with His presence, and to teach you to live in His grace day by day, for grace comes before peace.

Keep looking to Jesus. Keep calling on His name. Keep your mind stayed on Him through His word and through prayer, even in short simple prayers when you feel overwhelmed. We are praying that the Lord covers you with His peace and allows you to rest without waking to hearing evil, and that He surrounds you, your mom, your three children and your pets with His protection. We are asking God to let His justice and righteousness prevail, to take away the power and voice of every evil influence that has come against you, and to restore to you what the enemy has tried to steal, kill and destroy. We claim the blood of Jesus over your life and your family, remembering the promise that when we resist the devil he will flee from us James 4:7 and that the Lord is faithful and will protect us from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We also cling to the truth that He will give His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways Psalm 91:11.

We pray that the Lord fills your home with His presence, that you experience His great peace and assurance that you are very much alive in Him, and that all who are pure evil and seek your harm are kept far from you and have no power or favor over your life. We pray that the Lord corrects and removes every wicked assignment and that you and your loved ones are kept safe in His will.
