I am writing to ask for prayer for my husband, family and myself, to make some decisions in the near future.
Again I am only asking for prayer and guidance. Here is some history on what has been going on in our lives.
My husband has been unemployed on and off for the last 2 years. In October 2007 he began have major back problems, and began losing weight. We found out he has several problems with his upper and lower back. So far they have done injections and nerve blocks to help with the pain on his back. They are still deciding if he will require surgery, we should know by the end of this month. In December 2007 we found out he had kidney cancer, and they removed ½ of his left kidney in February 2008, and he goes back later this month for another check up, and hopefully everything will be okay with these test.
I went to the doctor on 8/7/08 due to health problems that I had been having and putting off due to taking care of my husband, and working 2 jobs due to the situation of him not being able to work. I was told that I need to quit work and apply for disability immediately, or I would not have any quality of life within the next 5 year. They told me I need lower back surgery and that I had Muscular Dystrophy, that was advancing, and I would lose more muscle use if I didn’t stop working now, and be in a wheelchair within 5 years, and not be able to control my muscles.
Here is some more of my concerns, if I go on disability. Due to my husband not working and medical expense, and the fact that I help my parents with there bills due to them being retired and not drawing enough to pay there house payment and utilities, they don’t do extras. I know I can’t make it on the money I would receive from disability, and I don’t want them to lose the home they have worked so hard for, and I don’t want to lose the home I am in, this might sound selfish to some. I currently owe at least $300,000 in bills, and don’t know how to go about paying them if I go on disability.
So this is were I need your help with prayer. I know God can give me guidance do make the right decisions. I have tried to make decisions in the past and have learnt that I can’t do it without God, or it will make things worse. So I am asking you to please help me pray about all of this, because God can help me, and the more people praying the better.
