Disciple of Prayer
Pray for everything that I have been praying about since ###/###/###. That THIS WEEK OR NEXT WEEK FOR SURE I will get in contact with the person who took care of me in REHAB ten months ago. That THIS WEEK OR NEXT WEEK FOR SURE I will get in contact with the person who took care of me in Rehab four years ago. That I WILL VERY SHORTLY meet the woman who will be my next girlfriend and later my wife. A number of things that I need prayer about. Me walking again full body strength restored. Me going back to the Catholic group that I am a member of. Me going back to the PCR Social Club. Me getting in contact with and meeting up with my friend ###, nickname ###. That the Collerge Alumni event I will be attending on ###/###/### will go well. Other things. My whole life situation. ME GETTING CAUGHT UP IN LIFE ASAP. My job and career situation. My whole school situation academically and socially. My financial situation me always having enough money for my needs and for social for years to come. Anything else that I haven't thought of or will think of. All other prayers not mentioned.

We lift you up in prayer, brother, and we are grateful you have brought these many concerns before us so we may seek the Lord together on your behalf. Before we address each request, we must first emphasize the most critical truth of all: there is no access to God apart from the name of Jesus Christ. You have not mentioned His name in your prayer, and we urge you to recognize that it is only through faith in Jesus—the Son of God, who died for our sins and rose again—that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6, WEB)*. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we implore you to do so now, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB)*. Without Christ, all other prayers are empty. We pray that if you have not yet received Him as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit would open your heart today to repentance and faith in Jesus alone.

Now, let us address your requests with biblical wisdom and prayer, trusting in God’s perfect timing and will.

You have asked for contact with those who cared for you in rehab, and we pray that if it is God’s will, these reconnections would happen in His timing—not necessarily *this week or next week*, but according to His sovereign plan. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB)*. Rehab is a place of restoration, and we thank God for those He used to help you. If these reconnections are meant to glorify Him and encourage you in your walk with Christ, we pray He would orchestrate them. But we also caution you: if these relationships pull you away from dependence on God or lead you into ungodly influences, we pray the Lord would protect you from them. Not every past connection is meant to be revisited, so we ask for discernment.

Regarding your request for a girlfriend and future wife, we must speak truth in love. The Bible does not support the modern idea of "girlfriends" or "boyfriends" as casual or temporary relationships. Instead, Scripture calls believers to pursue *courtship with the intent of marriage*, and only with someone who is a committed follower of Jesus Christ. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB)*. If you are seeking a wife, she must be a woman who fears the Lord, for *"A worthy woman is the crown of her husband"* (Proverbs 12:4, WEB)*. We pray that if marriage is God’s will for you, He would prepare you to be a godly husband—a man of integrity, self-control, and spiritual leadership. But we also rebuke any impatience or demand for this to happen *"very shortly."* God’s timing is perfect, and rushing into relationships outside of His will leads to heartache. *"It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to put confidence in man" (Psalm 118:8, WEB)*. We pray you would seek God first, and if He has a spouse for you, He will bring her in His time. Until then, we encourage you to grow in holiness, serving the Lord with an undivided heart.

You have also mentioned physical healing—walking again and full strength restored. We serve a God who heals, and we cry out to Him on your behalf, asking for His miraculous touch. *"Yahweh, be gracious to us. We have waited for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble" (Isaiah 33:2, WEB)*. Yet, we also acknowledge that God’s ways are higher than ours, and sometimes He allows physical struggles to draw us closer to Him, to refine our faith, or to testify to His grace in weakness. *"He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me" (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB)*. We pray for your complete restoration, but even more, we pray that Christ would be glorified in your body, whether through healing or through perseverance.

Regarding your desire to return to a Catholic group, we must address this with biblical clarity. While there may be sincere believers in Catholic circles, much of Catholic doctrine contradicts Scripture—including prayers to Mary or saints, the sacraments as a means of salvation, and traditions that elevate human authority over God’s Word. *"But in vain do they worship me, because they teach as doctrines the commandments of men" (Matthew 15:9, WEB)*. We urge you to test all things by Scripture alone (1 Thessalonians 5:21) and to seek fellowship with believers who hold to the Bible as the final authority. If this group leads you closer to Jesus as revealed in the Word, then we pray for godly connections there. But if it distorts the gospel, we pray the Lord would redirect you to a church that preaches Christ crucified and risen, where the Bible is taught without addition or subtraction.

For your social club, alumni event, friendships, and career, we pray for God’s favor and open doors. *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your thoughts will be established" (Proverbs 16:3, WEB)*. Yet we also caution against placing ultimate hope in these things. Jobs, social circles, and even friendships are temporary, but Christ is eternal. We pray you would seek first His kingdom (Matthew 6:33), trusting that He will provide all you *need*—not necessarily all you *want*. Financial provision is a real concern, and we ask the Lord to supply your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). But we also pray He would guard your heart from greed or trust in money rather than in Him. *"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that" (1 Timothy 6:6-8, WEB)*.

Finally, you ask for prayer about *"getting caught up in life ASAP."* Brother, we understand the frustration of feeling behind, but we gently rebuke the demand for immediate change. God is not bound by our timelines. *"Don’t say, ‘Why were the old days better than these?’ For it is not wise to ask such questions" (Ecclesiastes 7:10, WEB)*. Instead of rushing, we pray you would surrender each day to the Lord, trusting that He is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28). *"Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen" (Psalm 37:7, WEB)*.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who has shared these many burdens with us. Lord, we first ask that if he does not know You as Savior, You would open his eyes to the truth of the gospel. May he repent of his sins and place his full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name by which we must be saved. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let him walk in obedience to Your Word.

Father, we ask for Your will to be done in every area of his life. If it is Your desire for him to reconnect with those from his past, orchestrate those meetings in Your perfect timing. Protect him from any influences that would draw him away from You. For his desire for a wife, we pray You would prepare him to be a godly husband—pure, patient, and faithful. If You have a spouse for him, bring her into his life in Your time, and let her be a woman who loves You above all else. Guard his heart from lust, impatience, or ungodly relationships, and let him honor You in his pursuit of marriage.

Lord, we ask for healing—complete restoration of his body if it is Your will. But even if You choose to let this struggle remain, let Your power be perfected in his weakness. May he find his strength in You alone. Father, guide him to a church that preaches the unadulterated Word of God, where he can grow in faith alongside believers who spur him on toward Christlikeness. Give him wisdom in his career, finances, and social life. Provide for his needs, Lord, and let him be content in You, trusting that You are his Provider.

Help him to release the urgency of his own timeline and to rest in Your sovereignty. Teach him to seek first Your kingdom, knowing that all these things will be added to him as You see fit. Let him find his identity in Christ, not in his circumstances. And Father, for anything we have not covered, we ask that You would meet him in those needs as well.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or impatience in Jesus’ name. We declare that You are his Shepherd, and he shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Let him walk in faith, hope, and love, trusting You in every season.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you, brother, as you've laid out these various aspects of your life that you'd like prayer for. We're grateful for the openness and trust you've shown in sharing these burdens with us. Let's approach the throne of grace together, confident in the love and power of our Father.

First, we pray for divine appointments. If it's God's will for you to reconnect with those who cared for you in rehab, we ask that He would orchestrate those meetings in His perfect timing. We trust that He knows what's best for you and will work all things together for your good. We also pray for wisdom and discernment in these relationships, that they would draw you closer to God and not lead you astray.

Regarding your desire for a future girlfriend and wife, we pray that you would seek God's will above your own. We ask that if marriage is in His plan for you, He would prepare you to be a godly husband - a man of integrity, self-control, and spiritual leadership. We also pray that He would bring the right woman into your life at the right time. In the meantime, we encourage you to grow in holiness, serving the Lord with an undivided heart.

We join you in praying for physical healing. Whether it's full restoration or learning to trust God in weakness, we believe that He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We pray for His healing touch and for your faith to remain steadfast.

For your desire to return to a Catholic group, we pray for discernment. While there may be sincere believers in Catholic circles, we also ask that you would test all things by Scripture alone (1 Thessalonians 5:21). We pray that you would find fellowship with believers who hold to the Bible as the final authority and who preach Christ crucified and risen.

We also pray for God's favor and open doors in your social club, alumni event, friendships, and career. We ask that He would provide for your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), but we also pray that you would be content with what you have, trusting in Him above all else.

Lastly, we pray that you would find peace in God's timing. We understand the frustration of feeling behind, but we gently remind you that God is not bound by our timelines. We pray that you would surrender each day to the Lord, trusting that He is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28).

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
