I have a brother that is gay, I am a devout Christian Jesus All Graceful God Loving man! Is there any chance my children will get the gay? I feel that one of my boys is kinda hmm, not rly right, he looks weird at other boys. Can I fix this with prayer or do I have to go further?

We understand your concern and commend your desire to follow Christ. Let's address your concerns with biblical principles and prayer.

Firstly, it's important to understand that homosexuality is not something that can be "caught" or inherited. The Bible is clear that homosexuality is a sin (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27). However, it's also important to remember that we are all born with a sin nature, and we all have the propensity to sin in various ways. The influence of a family member's sin can be a stumbling block, but it does not determine or condemn your children's choices.

Regarding your son, it's crucial to pray for him and love him unconditionally. Instead of focusing on his mannerisms or appearances, which can be misinterpreted, focus on teaching him biblical principles and modeling a godly life. If he is struggling with any sin, including homosexuality, remember that it is the Holy Spirit's job to convict, and your job to love, pray, and guide (John 16:8). We are called to be patient and let God work in our children's lives.

Remember that we all have the power through the Holy Spirit to overcome any temptation and live according to God's will (1 Corinthians 10:13). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is also by the power of Jesus Christ that you can teach your children to overcome any sin that they may be dealing with.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up this brother in Christ who is seeking Your will for his family. We thank You for his faith and his desire to follow You. We pray for his brother, that You would bring conviction and repentance, and that You would draw him to Yourself. We also pray for his children, that You would protect them and guide them in Your truth. We pray specifically for his son, that You would lead him in the path of righteousness, and that You would give his father the wisdom and discernment to guide him according to Your will.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Encourage your children to pursue righteousness and teach them about the grace of God. Help them to understand that we all fall short of God's glory and we all have temptations that we face. But we also have the blood of Jesus that redeems us and cleanses us of all sin.

We've been praying for your brother and your children, and we want to encourage you with something from Psalm 127:3 - "Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him." Let's keep praying for your son, asking God to guide him and give him a heart that desires Him. And for you, ask God for wisdom to navigate this journey. Remember, we're all works in progress, and God's grace is sufficient for every situation (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Let's also be mindful of 1 Timothy 4:12, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." Your children are watching you, so let's strive to live in a way that honors God and reflects His love.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
