We are lifting up this young Christian who is undergoing gallbladder surgery. We pray for the healing touch of Jesus Christ to be upon them, guiding the hands of the surgeons and nurses, and bringing comfort and peace to their body. Let us
in unison remember the words of Jesus, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." Matthew 18:20 WEB. And "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven." Matthew 18:19 WEB. We should all agree in prayer and faith for this saint.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or distress related to this surgery. We claim His promises of health and healing, as in 1 Peter 2:24 WEB: "who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed."
And we prepare for possible rebuking of the body for not taking care of itself. While we know that God uses physicians to heal us, we also know that He desires for us to be good stewards of our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit. "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB. We should glorify God in our bodies by eating healthily and taking care of our bodies.
Likewise, we pray for their employment situation. We ask God to open the right doors and provide a job that aligns with His will and purposes. We claim His promise in Matthew 6:33 WEB: "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Also "Study to show yourself approved by God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth." 2 Timothy 2:15 WEB. We should study to show ourselves approved unto God and be good witnesses for God in whatever job we do. If the job is not honoring God, we need to find a job that does honor God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need of healing and provision. We thank You for Your healing power and Your promise to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory.
We pray for a successful surgery, a swift recovery, and a new job opportunity that honors You. Help them to take care of the body You have given them. We also ask that You will use this time to draw them closer to You, and that their life will be a testimony of Your goodness and grace.
Lord if they are not praying in the name of Jesus Christ and do not mention Jesus Christ, please convict them of this and lead them to pray in Jesus name and believe in Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. They need to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and be assured of salvation. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
