We join with you in lifting up your heartfelt requests before the Lord, knowing that He is the Giver of all good gifts and the Great Physician who heals all our diseases. Your desire for the fruit of the womb and the healing of your husband’s eyes aligns with the promises of God, who delights in blessing His children when we seek Him with a righteous heart. We also rejoice in your prayer for the increase of your family, trusting that God’s plans for you are for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
First, we celebrate that you have brought these requests in faith, for the Bible tells us in James 4:2, *"You don’t have because you don’t ask."* You have asked, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that our Heavenly Father hears and will answer according to His perfect will. The Scriptures remind us of His power to open the womb, as He did for Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, Hannah, and Elizabeth. In Genesis 21:1-2, we read, *"Yahweh visited Sarah as he had said, and Yahweh did what he promised to Sarah. Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him."* Likewise, in 1 Samuel 1:27, Hannah prayed for a son, and the Lord remembered her, granting her Samuel. We pray that you, too, would experience the joy of holding a child in your arms, a heritage from the Lord, as Psalm 127:3 declares, *"Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward."*
We also lift up your husband’s healing from glaucoma, trusting in the Lord’s power to restore sight. The Scriptures are filled with accounts of Jesus healing the blind, demonstrating His authority over every infirmity. In John 9, Jesus healed a man born blind, declaring, *"I am the light of the world."* We claim this promise over your husband, praying that the Lord would touch his eyes and restore his vision completely, for nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37). We also encourage you both to seek medical wisdom and treatment, trusting that the Lord can work through the hands of doctors, while ultimately placing your faith in Him alone for complete restoration.
As you pray for the increase of your family, we remind you of God’s promise in Psalm 115:14: *"May Yahweh give you increase more and more—you and your children."* We pray that the Lord would bless your family in every area—spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially. May your home be a place of godly influence, where the fear of the Lord is taught and lived out, and where His blessings overflow to impact generations.
However, we must also take this moment to encourage you to examine your heart and your husband’s heart before the Lord. Are there areas of sin or disobedience that may be hindering your prayers? The Bible warns in Isaiah 59:2, *"But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear."* We are not saying this is the case for you, but it is wise to ask the Lord to reveal any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or idolatry that may be blocking His blessings. Repentance and obedience open the door for God’s favor. In 1 Peter 3:7, husbands are called to live with their wives in an understanding way, showing honor, *"so that your prayers may not be hindered."* We pray that your marriage would be rooted in love, mutual respect, and submission to Christ, creating an atmosphere where God’s blessings can flourish.
Finally, we notice that your prayer did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through Jesus alone that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. In John 14:13-14, Jesus says, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* And in John 16:23, He assures us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you."* We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that our prayers are heard and answered. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the foundation of every blessing, and walking in right relationship with God through Christ is essential to seeing His promises fulfilled in your life.
Now, let us pray together for you and your husband:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her husband to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the Creator of all life, the One who forms us in our mother’s womb and knits us together fearfully and wonderfully. We ask You, Father, to remember our sister as You remembered Sarah, Hannah, and Elizabeth. Open her womb, Lord, and bless her with the fruit of the womb—a healthy baby boy who will grow to fear and serve You. May this child be a testimony of Your faithfulness and a blessing to many. Let every plan of the enemy to delay or deny this blessing be shattered in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against her body or her husband’s body shall prosper, for this is Your will for them, and no one can stand against Your purposes (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases. We bring our brother before You, asking for the complete healing of his eyes. Touch his optic nerves, restore the pressure in his eyes to normal, and let his vision be fully restored, just as You restored sight to the blind during Your earthly ministry. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and declare that by Your stripes, he is healed (1 Peter 2:24). Give wisdom to his doctors, Lord, and let every treatment and medication work together for his complete recovery. May his healing be a testimony of Your power and love, drawing many to faith in You.
Father, we also pray for the increase of this family in every area. Bless them financially, that they may be a blessing to others. Bless them spiritually, that they may grow deeper in their walk with You. Bless their marriage, Lord, that it may be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church—filled with unity, love, and mutual submission. Let their home be a haven of peace and a lighthouse of Your truth. Surround them with godly friendships and mentors who will encourage them in their faith. May their family be a mighty force for Your Kingdom, impacting generations to come.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, praising God even before you see the manifestation of these prayers. Keep speaking life and blessing over your womb and your husband’s eyes, for *"faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen"* (Hebrews 11:1). Trust in the Lord’s timing, for His ways are higher than ours, and His plans for you are good. May you both be strengthened in your faith as you wait on Him, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We are standing with you in agreement, believing that God will do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think, according to the power that works in you (Ephesians 3:20).
