Friendship and relationships and to stop worrying and have an anxiety protection

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I pray for mine ### and ### friendship and if anyone’s trying to cause problems for our friendship, I asked that we will both have discernment and we won’t give into their bowling. I also pray this for ### in me and we will all treat each other the same the same as we always have treated each other with respect, kind, caring, loving, merciful, graceful, helpfulness being there for each other, caring about each other sticking up for each other. Wanna make the day easier for each other and we’ll have discernment about other people. and my anxiety will go away. ### will find her way to the Lord. She’ll get saved. ### will grow closer to the Lord to have a strong desire to read his Bible and go to church and I’ll start reading my Bible again and find the right Church and my ### ### will get a job and go to the right church and God I’ll protect our friendship and if we ever have to separate it’ll be on the best terms great terms were we still care of so much about each other and we happy and glad that we’re friends.

We lift you up in prayer, dear sister, and we are grateful you’ve brought these concerns before us so we may seek the Lord together on your behalf. First, we must gently address something vital: you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your prayer. The Scriptures are clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14, WEB). We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).

Now, let us turn to the matters of your heart. Friendship is a beautiful gift from God, and it is right to desire relationships that reflect His love, kindness, and grace. The Bible teaches us to *"love one another with brotherly affection; outdo one another in showing honor"* (Romans 12:10, WEB). However, we must also remember that our ultimate loyalty and devotion belong to Christ. While friendships are precious, they should never take the place of our relationship with the Lord or lead us into compromise. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). If the friendships you speak of include those who do not know Christ, we pray that you will be a light to them, but we also caution you to guard your heart and remain steadfast in your faith.

You mentioned anxiety, and we want to remind you of the peace that comes from trusting in the Lord. Jesus tells us, *"Don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient"* (Matthew 6:25-34, WEB). Anxiety often stems from a lack of trust in God’s sovereignty and goodness. We encourage you to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Spend time in His Word and in prayer, and you will find your heart strengthened and your mind renewed (Romans 12:2).

Regarding your desire for your friends to come to the Lord, we join you in praying for their salvation. It is the heart of God that *"all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). Share the Gospel with them in love and truth, and trust the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts. *"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?... So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"* (Romans 10:14-17, WEB). Pray that their hearts will be softened to receive the truth and that they will hunger for righteousness.

We also note your prayer for jobs and church communities. These are good and necessary things, and we ask the Lord to provide opportunities for meaningful work and fellowship with believers who will encourage and build you up in the faith. *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not abandoning our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching"* (Hebrews 10:24-25, WEB). Seek a church that faithfully teaches the Word of God and where you can grow in your walk with Christ.

Lastly, we must address the idea of "protecting" friendships to the point where separation would only happen on the "best terms." While it is good to desire harmony, we must recognize that not all relationships are meant to last forever, especially if they do not honor God. Some friendships may need to end if they lead you away from Christ or into sin. *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals’"* (1 Corinthians 15:33, WEB). Trust that God will guide your steps and give you wisdom in all relationships. If separation becomes necessary, pray that it would be handled with grace and truth, but always prioritize obedience to God above maintaining human connections.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and the burdens she carries. Lord, we ask that You would fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remove every trace of anxiety from her and replace it with unwavering trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. Help her to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that You will provide all she needs.

Father, we pray for her friendships. Give her discernment to recognize any influences that do not align with Your will. Surround her with godly friends who will encourage her in her faith and hold her accountable to Your Word. If there are relationships that are not pleasing to You, Lord, give her the strength and wisdom to set boundaries or walk away if necessary. May all her friendships be rooted in Your love and truth.

We lift up the unsaved friends she mentioned. Softening their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and grant them repentance leading to salvation. Raise up believers in their lives who will share Your Word with them and model Your love. Give our sister opportunities to speak boldly and lovingly about You, and may her life be a testimony of Your grace.

Lord, we pray for employment opportunities for our sister and her friends. Provide jobs that will meet their needs and allow them to glorify You in their work. Lead them to churches where Your Word is preached faithfully and where they can grow in community with other believers. Renew in her a hunger for Your Word, and help her to be consistent in reading and studying the Bible.

Father, we ask that You would protect and guide these friendships according to Your will. If separation ever becomes necessary, may it be handled with grace, love, and wisdom. Above all, may our sister’s heart remain fully devoted to You, seeking Your glory in every relationship and circumstance.

We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or confusion in the name of Jesus. We declare that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your peace rule in her heart.

In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen.

Hey there,

We're right there with you, praying for your friendships and for your peace. We've been thinking about your request and wanted to share a few more things on our hearts.

First off, we're so glad you're seeking God's will in your relationships. It's a beautiful thing to want friendships that reflect His love and kindness. We're reminded of Proverbs 18:24, "There are 'friends' who pretend to be friends, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." Let's ask God to help us discern who those true friends are, the ones who will stick by us through thick and thin, just as Jesus does.

We also want to encourage you to keep trusting God with your anxieties. He's got you, and He's working everything out for your good (Romans 8:28). When you feel anxious, try to cast your cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7). He's more than capable of handling them. And remember, Jesus tells us not to worry about tomorrow, but to trust Him for each new day (Matthew 6:34).

Lastly, we want to pray for your unsaved friends. We believe that God is at work in their lives too, and He's using you to be a light to them. Keep shining, and trust that God will draw them to Himself in His perfect timing.

So, let's keep praying together, sister. We're in this together, and we trust that God is going to work everything out for His glory and our good.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
