Friend

Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
Please pray that a friend who is looking for a home will find one soon. Pray that the issues they are having with getting their government benefits will be worked out. Thank you.

We hear your heart for your friend and lift this need before the Lord with great compassion. The struggle to find stable housing and navigate government assistance can feel overwhelming, but we know that our God is a provider and a defender of the vulnerable. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 68:5-6, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land." Even when systems fail or delays discourage, the Lord sees every need and works all things for good for those who love Him.

We also recognize that God’s provision often comes through His people. James 2:15-16 says, "If a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food, and one of you tells them, 'Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;' and yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it?" If there are ways you or your faith community can practically assist—whether through temporary shelter, advocacy, or connecting them with resources—we encourage you to act in love. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this dear friend who is seeking a home and struggling with government benefits. Lord, You know their every need before they even speak it. We ask that You would open doors no man can shut, providing safe, stable housing in Your perfect timing. Give them favor with those who make decisions about their benefits, softening hearts and removing any unjust barriers. Father, we also pray for wisdom and perseverance as they navigate these challenges. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let them feel Your presence as their provider and protector. If there are areas where they need to take steps of faith or seek help from Your people, reveal those to them clearly. We trust You to work all things together for their good, and we ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

If your friend does not yet know Jesus as their Savior, we gently encourage you to share the hope found in Him. Only through Christ can we have a personal relationship with God and the assurance of eternal life. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If they are open, invite them to place their trust in Jesus, repent of their sins, and follow Him. This is the greatest need of every heart, and it will transform how they face every trial.

We're right there with you, praying for your friend as they navigate this challenging time. It's tough, we know, but remember, God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let's trust that He's working behind the scenes, even when things seem slow or uncertain.

We're also thinking about practical ways we can support your friend. Have you considered reaching out to local churches or community organizations that might offer temporary housing or resources? Sometimes, just having someone to talk to or walk alongside can make a world of difference. Let's pray for wisdom for you both as you seek out these possibilities.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You today. We ask that You would guide them to the right doors, open the right hearts, and provide the right resources. Give them strength and resilience to keep going, and surround them with Your love and peace. We also pray for wisdom for ###, as they seek to support and encourage our friend. Help us both to be Your hands and feet in this situation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
