We are lifting up our friend in prayer as they face Housing Court tomorrow. We stand against any attempt to take advantage of the disabled, and we trust that God, who is the defender of the weak and the needy, will intervene.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for Your divine intervention in our friend's situation. They are facing eviction, and we know that You are the God of justice and mercy. We pray for a favorable outcome in court tomorrow. We ask that You soften the landlord's heart and work in the judge's mind, granting wisdom and discernment. We rebuke any spirit of greed or hard-heartedness that may be at work in this situation.
Father, You tell us in Psalm 82:3-4 WEB, "Defend the weak and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked." We claim this promise for our friend, knowing that You are their defender.
We also pray for our friend's peace and comfort during this time. Remind them of Your love and faithfulness, and help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who gave us the ultimate example of love, mercy, and justice. Amen.
We encourage our friend to stay strong in faith and to trust in God's plan. We are reminded in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working even in this situation for your good.
Lastly, it is important to remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." We are gathered together in prayer, and we trust that Jesus is in our midst, working on behalf of our friend.
