We join with you in lifting up your daughter before the throne of grace, interceding for her freedom, protection, and healing in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, yet full of faith, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Your Word declares in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" Lord, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict your daughter’s heart and reveal to her the ungodliness of this relationship. Open her eyes to see the spiritual bondage that comes from being yoked with someone who does not share her faith in Christ.
We rebuke the spirit of deception that may be blinding her to the truth of this situation. Your Word warns in Proverbs 13:20, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Father, grant her the boldness to walk away from this toxic relationship, to recognize the red flags, and to stand firm in Your truth. We pray that she would desire freedom more than the temporary comfort this relationship may bring, and that she would find her way back to the safety and love of her family, where she can be nurtured in Your ways.
We also stand in agreement with you for protection over your household. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We plead the blood of Jesus over you, your children, and your brothers, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, as Your Word promises in Isaiah 54:17. We bind every spirit of fear, confusion, and division that may be targeting your family, and we loose the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You would surround your daughter with godly influences—friends, mentors, and leaders who will speak life and truth into her. May she hunger and thirst for righteousness, and may she find her identity and worth in You alone. We pray for healing in her heart, that any wounds or lies she has believed would be replaced with Your truth and love. Father, give her the strength to walk away from this relationship without looking back, and fill her with a deep desire to pursue a godly marriage that honors You.
We also lift up your own heart, dear parent. It is not easy to watch a child stray from Your ways, but we know that Your love is greater than our fears. We pray that You would fill you with peace and assurance, knowing that You are at work even in this situation. Help you to trust in Your timing and to continue praying without ceasing, for the prayer of the righteous avails much (James 5:16).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the power of the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can come before You. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We declare that your daughter is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we stand in faith, believing that she will turn from this ungodly relationship and walk in the freedom and purpose You have for her. Strengthen her to seek a spouse who loves You and will lead her in Your ways, for marriage is a sacred covenant designed by You to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior, Redeemer, and Lord. Amen.
