We lift our voices together in agreement with this urgent plea for divine protection against fraud and theft. The schemes of the enemy are indeed cunning, seeking to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm on the promise that our Heavenly Father is greater than all. The Bible warns us in John 10:10, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." We declare that the abundant life Christ offers is not just spiritual but also encompasses protection over our earthly possessions and well-being.
Father, we come before You, recognizing that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). We ask for Your divine intervention to halt the hands of those who seek to defraud and steal. Expose their wicked schemes, Lord, as it is written in Luke 8:17, "For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed; nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light." Let the light of Your truth shine upon their deceitful actions, and let justice prevail according to Your will.
We pray for Your hedge of protection around every person who has been or could be a victim of such crimes. Surround them with Your holy angels, as You have promised in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." Let Your angels encamp around them, guarding their homes, their finances, and their personal information from every attack of the enemy.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom and discernment for those who are vulnerable to these attacks. Teach us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16). Help us to take every precaution to safeguard our personal information and to be vigilant against the tactics of the enemy. Guide us in the ways of righteousness, that we may not be easy targets for those who seek to exploit others.
We rebuke the spirit of greed and deception that drives individuals to commit such acts. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, "Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom." We pray for the hearts of those involved in fraud and theft to be convicted by Your Holy Spirit. Draw them to repentance, Lord, that they may turn from their wicked ways and seek Your forgiveness and transformation.
Father, we also lift up those who have already fallen victim to these crimes. Comfort them in their distress and restore what has been lost. We claim the promise in Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you." Let Your healing and restoration flow into their lives, bringing peace and security once again.
We acknowledge that our ultimate security is found in You alone. While we take practical steps to protect ourselves, we place our trust in Your sovereign care. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on You, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and not to be consumed by fear or anxiety. Remind us daily that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
In all these things, we pray that Your name would be glorified. May those who witness Your protection and provision come to know You as their Lord and Savior. Let our lives be a testament to Your faithfulness, drawing others into a relationship with You.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and mighty power to protect and provide for us. Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to walk in the victory that is ours through Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
