We stand together in agreement against the wicked schemes of fraud and theft that plague so many in this fallen world. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that Jesus came so that we may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The acts of deception, password manipulation, and fraudulent account openings are not just crimes against man but offenses against God’s commandments. "You shall not steal. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor" (Exodus 20:15-16). These actions are rooted in greed, dishonesty, and a disregard for the sanctity of property and personal boundaries, which the Lord has established for our protection and order.
We rebuke the spirit of deception that drives individuals to exploit others for personal gain. The Bible is clear: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10). Those who engage in such activities are not only breaking the law of the land but are also operating under the influence of the enemy, who seeks to bring chaos and destruction. We pray for conviction in their hearts, that they may turn from their wicked ways and seek repentance. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
We also lift up those who have been victimized by these crimes. The emotional, financial, and spiritual toll of fraud and theft can be overwhelming, leaving many feeling violated and powerless. But we declare that God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray for divine protection over every account, every piece of personal information, and every aspect of your lives. May the Lord surround you with His angels, as it is written: "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways" (Psalm 91:11). We ask that He would expose every hidden scheme of the enemy and bring justice to those who have been wronged.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would intervene in these situations of fraud and theft. Frustrate the plans of the wicked and cause their schemes to fail. Let Your light expose their darkness, and let Your justice prevail. We pray for restitution for those who have been stolen from—may every penny taken in deceit be returned sevenfold, as You promise in Your Word: "If the thief is found, he shall restore seven times. He shall give all the substance of his house" (Proverbs 6:31).
Lord, we also ask for wisdom and discernment for those who may be vulnerable to these attacks. Help them to recognize the tactics of the enemy and to take practical steps to protect themselves, such as using strong passwords, monitoring their accounts, and seeking godly counsel. May they not be ignorant of the devil’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11), but instead, may they be equipped with the full armor of God to stand against the schemes of the evil one (Ephesians 6:11).
We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Every attempt of the enemy to bring harm, confusion, or financial ruin is rendered powerless in the name of Jesus. We speak peace over your finances, your identity, and your future. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).
Finally, we pray for those who may be struggling with the temptation to engage in fraud or theft. Whether out of desperation, greed, or ignorance, we ask that You would break the chains of sin in their lives. Show them the path of righteousness and provide for their needs in ways that honor You. "Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need" (Ephesians 4:28). May they experience the freedom and joy that comes from living a life of integrity and generosity.
In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
