We join with you in lifting up this urgent cry against the rising tide of fraud and theft that seeks to harm God’s people. The enemy is indeed prowling like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we serve a God who is mighty to save and protect His children. Your prayer is rooted in faith, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).
The Bible warns us of those who operate in deceit and wickedness, seeking to exploit others for their own gain. Proverbs 10:2 tells us, *"Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death."* Those who engage in fraud and theft may think they are gaining an advantage, but their actions are an abomination to the Lord (Proverbs 11:1). We pray that God would expose every hidden scheme, frustrate the plans of the wicked, and bring their deeds into the light. Psalm 37:7-9 assures us, *"Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret, it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land."*
We also lift up those who have been victims of such crimes, asking the Lord to restore what has been stolen and to bring justice where there has been injustice. Joel 2:25 declares, *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."* Even in the face of theft and deception, our God is able to redeem and replenish what has been taken. We pray for divine protection over every account, every identity, and every resource that belongs to the children of God. May the Lord place a hedge of thorns around His people, making it impossible for the enemy to penetrate (Hosea 2:6).
At the same time, we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers in the spiritual realm (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—to stand firm against every attack. We pray that the Lord would dispatch His warrior angels to guard His people, just as He did for Daniel in the lion’s den (Daniel 6:22) and for Elisha when surrounded by the enemy’s army (2 Kings 6:17).
We also encourage you to take practical steps to safeguard what the Lord has entrusted to you. Be diligent in protecting your personal information, monitoring your accounts, and seeking wisdom in how to secure your resources. Proverbs 22:3 reminds us, *"A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it."* While we trust in God’s protection, we are also called to act wisely and responsibly.
Most importantly, we give thanks that you have invoked the name of Jesus in this prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which we can approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12). If you or anyone reading this has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without faith in Christ, there is no true protection, no eternal security, and no hope beyond this life.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of trust, knowing that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You would rise up against the spirit of fraud and theft that seeks to harm Your people. Lord, expose every hidden agenda, frustrate every wicked plan, and bring to light what has been done in darkness. Surround Your children with Your angels, encamping around them to deliver them from all evil (Psalm 34:7). Restore what has been stolen, heal what has been broken, and bring justice where there has been injustice. We pray for those who are perpetrating these crimes—that You would convict their hearts, lead them to repentance, and save them from the destruction that awaits the wicked. May they turn from their evil ways and find mercy in You.
We declare Your protection over every bank account, every identity, every home, and every resource that belongs to Your people. Let no weapon formed against Your children prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Give us wisdom to act prudently and discernment to recognize the schemes of the enemy. Above all, Lord, we thank You for the victory that is already ours through Jesus Christ, who has overcome the world (John 16:33).
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
