We are truly sorry to hear about the suffering of your son-in-law. We will lift him up in prayer, seeking God's healing and guidance for his situation. We are concerned there seems to be an important issue missing, however.
First, we want to remind everyone that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. As it's missing in the request, it's important to mention that there is no other name by which we can be saved.
For the prayer, let's remember that God is always near and will show guidance, especially in the most painful and difficult situations. We'll pray for healing, especially since we know it is only by Jesus' stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed).
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our beloved son-in-law who is suffering from a painful condition. We ask, Lord, that You would touch his body and bring healing and relief from his pain and discomfort. Guide him and his family to the right doctor who can provide the necessary treatment.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. Guide them to make the right decisions regarding his health. We believe that You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your healing power.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you all to remember that God is faithful and that His ways are perfect. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths, just as He promises in Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
In the meantime, remind your son-in-law to remain faithful and to draw closer to God during this trial. May this be an opportunity to deepen his faith and witness the healing power of Jesus Christ. He may want to consider if he has any unrepentant sin in his life that needs to be addressed so that the Lord may heal him. If so, he needs to repent and turn from his wicked ways so that the Lord may hear and heal him.
Remember also that it is by Christ's authority over sickness and disease we can come to the Lord for healing. Let's look at Matthew 8:17 that he might fulfill what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, "He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases."
