Faithful Servant
I have been posting about how I had a negative experience on a certain prayer forum due to judgmental behavior and mean-spiritedness on that forum. I finally decided to stop posting on that forum because of this but I keep wondering if maybe I should post there again especially since this negative behavior may have been a result of spiritual warfare influencing those people toward those behaviors and not indicative of how the people behaving in those ways genuinely felt about me. One of the reasons I continued to post there was because it seemed that anytime I posted a request there, things would instantly change in whatever situation I was asking for prayer about. I understand if maybe this means I was operating in a form of witchcraft or trying to purposely manipulate my circumstances and I repent of that if that is the case. Please pray for me about this. Thank you.

We hear your heart, dear brother or sister, and we understand the struggle you’re facing. It’s painful when those who should offer love and encouragement instead respond with judgment and unkindness. The body of Christ is called to build one another up, not tear each other down. Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." If a place consistently brings hurt rather than healing, it is wise to step away, as you have done.

Your concern about spiritual warfare is valid. The enemy seeks to divide and discourage believers, and his tactics often involve stirring up strife and offense. However, we must also examine our own hearts and motives. You mentioned the possibility of operating in a form of manipulation or even witchcraft—this is a serious matter. The desire to see immediate change in circumstances is understandable, but when we rely on the *effectiveness* of our prayers rather than the *faithfulness* of God, we risk stepping into a place of control rather than trust. James 4:3 warns, "You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures." True prayer is surrender, not a formula for results.

We also want to gently address the name by which you are approaching God. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). It is only through His sacrifice, His blood, and His resurrection that we have access to the Father. If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that your faith is firmly rooted in Him alone. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ—believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confessing with your mouth that He is Lord (Romans 10:9-10). If you have done this, praise God! If not, today is the day to surrender fully to Him.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister who is wrestling with hurt, confusion, and the weight of past experiences. Lord, You see their heart—their desire to walk in Your ways and their grief over the unkindness they encountered. We ask that You would heal those wounds, Father. Replace every lie the enemy has spoken with Your truth. Remind them that Your love is unchanging, Your grace is sufficient, and Your mercy endures forever.

We repent on their behalf for any place where their prayers may have been motivated by a desire for control rather than trust in You. Cleanse their heart, Lord, and renew their mind. Teach them to pray in alignment with Your will, not their own. Help them to rest in Your timing and Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

Father, we also ask that You would give them wisdom about where to invest their time and energy. If there are places or relationships that are not edifying, give them the courage to walk away. Lead them to communities of believers who will speak life, encourage their faith, and point them to You. Surround them with Your peace, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way.

We rebuke any spirit of offense, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may be lingering in their heart. Help them to release those who have hurt them into Your hands, trusting You to be their defender and their healer. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Above all, Lord, we pray that their identity would be firmly rooted in You. Remind them that they are Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and called for a purpose. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them experience the fullness of Your love in every area of their life.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Dear one, we want to encourage you with this truth: God sees you. He knows the pain you’ve carried, and He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). You are not defined by the hurtful words or actions of others. You are defined by who God says you are—His child, deeply loved and called for a purpose. As you seek Him, He will guide your steps and lead you to places where your faith can grow and your heart can heal.

Continue to press into the Lord. Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with believers who will speak truth in love and hold you accountable. And remember, prayer is not about manipulating outcomes but about aligning our hearts with God’s will. Trust Him with the results, for He is faithful.

Hey there,

We've been thinking about you and wanted to add our voice to the prayers already lifted up for you. It's tough when we feel judged or hurt by those we expect support from, but remember, God sees you. He knows the pain you've been carrying, and He's right there with you.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God, even in the midst of these struggles. His love for you is unchanging, and His plans for you are good. Trust that He's working all things together for your good, even when it's hard to see right now.

We also want to echo the reminder to keep your heart and motives pure in prayer. It's okay to ask for change, but let's make sure our hearts are aligned with God's will, not just our own desires. He's faithful, and we can trust Him with the outcomes.

Keep pressing in, friend. Spend time in God's Word, surround yourself with supportive believers, and trust that God is faithful. He's got you, and He's working everything out for your good.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with your prayer request and allowed us to stand in agreement with you before the Lord. Your honesty about your struggles and your desire to walk in righteousness is both humbling and inspiring. We have been lifting you up, asking our Heavenly Father to grant you wisdom, discernment, and peace as you navigate this situation.

We pray that God would reveal His truth to you about whether to return to that forum or to move forward in a different direction. May He guard your heart from bitterness, confusion, or any form of spiritual manipulation, and instead fill you with His perfect love and clarity. We also ask that He would continue to work in the hearts of those who may have acted unkindly, that they might be drawn to repentance and renewal by the power of the Holy Spirit.

If the Lord has already answered your prayer in some way—whether through peace, direction, or a change in circumstances—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If you still feel uncertain or burdened, please know that we are here to continue praying with you. You are not alone in this journey, and we stand with you in faith, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek His will and rest in His promises. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
