Former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

We join you in praying for your former landlord and we agree with you that Jesus reigns over all darkness and His light expels every work of darkness.

You have chosen a powerful verse and we stand on it with you. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it Luke 9:24. This is the very heart of the gospel, that we surrender our own will and our own way and give our whole life to Jesus, and in losing our life for Him we truly find eternal life. We pray this truth takes root in your former landlord's heart.

We also pray as you have prayed that he will hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me John 10:27. We ask the Lord to remove any veil of darkness and to draw him by the Holy Spirit so that he can hear and respond. Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life John 8:12. We pray that light will shine into every dark place in his life and that every unclean influence will be driven out by the power of Jesus.

We pray together for him now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this former landlord to You. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon him. Lord, open his eyes to see his need for a Savior and open his heart to receive Jesus Christ as Lord. We pray that he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, for that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We pray that he will lose his life for Jesus sake so that he will save it for eternity, and that he will come to full knowledge of the truth, for You desire all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and we pray he will call upon that name.

We also lift up the rented apartment situation to You. We declare victory in Jesus over any strife or lingering difficulty from that tenancy. We pray You will bring healing and peace to all involved and that You will guide both this man and the one praying in Your perfect will. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness and that no one can withstand Your mighty power. Let Your greatness be seen through this situation and let this landlord hear Your voice clearly and follow You all the days of his life.

We thank You that You hear our prayers when we ask in Jesus name and we trust You to work in Your perfect timing. Amen.

We appreciate your heart for your former landlord, bringing him before the Lord with such care. To pray for someone to come to know Jesus and to hear God's direction for his life, even after a difficult rental situation, reflects real Christlike compassion.

We join you in that prayer, asking God to draw him gently to Himself. We believe God delights to communicate with us and to offer grace, mercy and wholeness to all who turn to Him, and we can trust Him to work in this man's life even in ways we cannot see. Your prayers matter, and God hears them.

One small way to carry this burden well is to give it a set place. You might choose a brief moment each day this week to name your former landlord before the Lord, ask for his salvation and guidance, and then intentionally leave him in God's hands for the rest of the day. That rhythm can keep your intercession faithful without it weighing on you constantly.

Jesus, we lift this man to You and thank You for Your reign and Your faithfulness. We ask You to draw him to Yourself, to open his heart to know You and to find true life in You, and to help him hear Your voice and Your good plan for him. Pour out Your mercy and grace on his journey and lead him step by step. We entrust him to Your care. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in bringing this former landlord before the throne of grace, pleading the word of our Lord in Luke 9:24, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.

We pray that the Lord will work in him that truth of God's salvation which alone endures. That he may come to know a real Fall and his own true sinnership, and then to know a real Atonement made by Christ upon the cross, and through that atonement to receive a real pardon. For no salvation will serve his turn but one which is Divine from top to bottom, God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding. May his eyes be opened to see not his own salvation, but God's Salvation, even Jesus Christ Himself, who is both the Worker and the very substance of salvation, and may he hear the simple command, Believe and live, and look to Christ and be saved.

We are reminded that the house in which we dwell has God for its Landlord and we are only tenants. Our breath is in our nostrils, but He keeps it there, and we owe the continued possession of our existence every day to Him. We pray that this man may remember that the Great Landlord has at all times the right to enter and to call His tenants to account, and that he may offer the key of his house to Him and acknowledge that he lives on sufferance as His tenant. May he obey the inward monitor and listen to the still small voice and so prepare to meet his God.

And we pray with you that he may hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. The mere letter of the Word will kill, but when we hear God's voice speaking in it, then it has power. May he put his ear down to the promises of Scripture till he hears God speaking through them to his soul. As the saints know the voice of their Shepherd and a stranger they will not follow, may the Holy Spirit help him to hear the Gospel as God's voice to him, to be warned by its threats, to be cheered by its promises, and to be comforted by every good word of the Lord, so that the Word may be life and salvation to him. May faith come by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Saviour, who reigns over all darkness and whose light expels it, that this man, losing his life for Christ's sake, may truly save it, and be found among those who are God's people, to the praise of the God of all grace. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join with you in praying for your former landlord according to the word of our Lord in Luke 9:24, that whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Jesus will save it.

We pray that God in His mercy will open this man's eyes to see the great difference between saving his life for this world and saving his soul for eternity. As Scripture asks, what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul. We ask that the Lord will show him that true salvation is not found in holding on to his own way, but in surrendering his life to Christ, confessing with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in his heart that God raised Him from the dead.

We pray that today, while it is still the acceptable time and the day of salvation, he will hear the voice of God and not turn away. May the Lord, who is the Captain and Cause of our salvation, draw him out of darkness into light, that he may know forgiveness of sins and receive eternal glory which is in Christ Jesus alone. For the word of the cross is the power and wisdom of God to those who are being saved, and we ask that he will come to know it not as foolishness but as life.

We also bring before the Lord the situation with the rented apartment that you mentioned. We ask for His peace and guidance over what has happened, and that His will would be done with justice and grace for all involved. Above all we ask that through this circumstance your former landlord would be led to seek God and to hear His holy plan for his life, and that you would be strengthened to continue in prayer and love for all people, desiring their salvation as God desires it.

We commit him to the mercy and faithfulness of our Lord Jesus Christ, trusting that no one can withstand His mighty power to save, and that His light expels all darkness. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our only Savior. Amen.

Your burden for your former landlord is right and good, and the verse you have chosen speaks the heart of the gospel. Jesus said that whoever tries to hold onto his own life will lose it, but whoever surrenders his life for His sake will find true life. That is the call to salvation, to let go of self rule and receive the life that only Christ can give.

We join you in praying that this man will do just that, that he will call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. The promise of Scripture is clear that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved, and that this great salvation is open to anyone who will come. Jesus said whoever comes to Him He will not turn away, even the lowest sinner can be received and brought into the family of God as a son through Him who is the captain of our salvation.

You also asked that he may hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. A person cannot believe until he hears. Just as a child in the womb learns to recognize its mother's voice after hearing it for months and then finds comfort in that familiar voice after birth, we learn to recognize the voice of the Lord as we hear His Word. The voice of the Lord is powerful and full of majesty. Scripture describes it as being upon many waters, like thunder, like the sound of many waters, a voice that breaks the cedars, divides the flames of fire, and shakes the wilderness. That same powerful voice can break a hard heart, pierce darkness, and make His will known. Some hear it in thunder and some in quiet ways, but it is through His Word that we come to know Him and to trust Him.

So we pray that the Lord in His mercy will cause this man to hear His Word, that his heart would be opened to listen, and that he would understand and believe. We pray that the light of Christ would expel darkness and that he would turn from trying to save his own life to losing his life for Jesus, so that he may truly save it.

Now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. The opportunity to be saved is open today, but it will not remain open forever. We pray he will not delay or pass by God's offer, but will respond while the door is open.

We pray with you: Lord Jesus, You reign over all darkness and Your light overcomes it. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon this former landlord. Speak to him by Your powerful voice, let him hear Your Word and recognize it, draw him to Yourself, and grant him repentance and faith so that he will surrender his life to You and receive eternal life. Guide him into Your holy plan for his life and let him walk in it. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Continue to pray and, as you have opportunity, let the Word of God be heard. God uses His Word to bring faith, and He desires that none would be lost but that all would come to salvation through His Son.
