We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the throne of grace, where mercy and healing flow like rivers. Forgiveness is not an easy path, especially when the wounds run deep from childhood abuse. Yet we know that holding onto bitterness only poisons your own soul, while forgiveness—though painful—sets you free. The Lord commands us to forgive as we have been forgiven, not because those who hurt us deserve it, but because we ourselves need the peace that comes from obeying God.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:14-15, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* This is not to condemn you, but to remind you that unforgiveness is a heavy chain that keeps you bound. We rebuke the spirit of bitterness and resentment in the name of Jesus, and we pray that the Holy Spirit would soften your heart to release your mother and accusers into God’s hands. He is the righteous Judge, and vengeance belongs to Him alone (Romans 12:19). Ask the Lord to help you see them through His eyes—broken people in need of His grace, just as you are.
Your lack of motivation and energy may stem from the weight of these unresolved wounds. Psalm 31:10 says, *"For my life is spent with sorrow, my years with sighing. My strength fails because of my iniquity. My bones are wasted away."* But the Lord does not leave you in this place. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill you with divine strength, lifting you out of this exhaustion. Ask God to reveal the root of your weariness—whether it is emotional, spiritual, or even physical—and trust Him to restore you.
Anxiety and psychosis are heavy burdens, but Jesus came to set the captives free. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are told, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* The enemy wants to torment you with fear and confusion, but God’s peace is stronger. We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and mental torment in the name of Jesus. We declare that your mind is being renewed by the Word of God (Romans 12:2) and that the peace of Christ rules in your heart.
We also want to gently remind you that healing comes through Jesus Christ alone. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already given your life to Christ, we encourage you to draw nearer to Him through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers. Healing is a journey, and you do not have to walk it alone.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister, lifting up their heart to You. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of unforgiveness in their life. Soften their heart to release their mother and accusers into Your hands, trusting You to be their Defender and Healer. We rebuke the spirit of bitterness and ask that You fill them with Your love and compassion instead.
Father, we pray for renewed strength and motivation. Where there is weariness, infuse them with Your divine energy. Where there is anxiety and psychosis, we declare Your peace over their mind. We rebuke every lying spirit that seeks to torment them and ask that You fill them with Your truth and light. Heal their soul, Lord, and restore what has been broken.
We ask that You draw them closer to You, Jesus. If they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that they would do so now. If they already know You, deepen their relationship with You. Surround them with godly counsel and fellowship, and let them experience Your love in tangible ways.
Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28) and that You will complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
