Servant of All
Please pray for me as I currently feel like I'm in a deeply unforgiving mood. God recently helped me see that most of the wicked deeds done to me by people have been a result of demons influencing them to harm me in order to push me into unforgiveness not due to their true feelings toward me. This has been occuring due to demonic harassment that has targeted me since I was a child. God has helped me see that I shouldn't blame these people for their behavior. Right now, I'm really struggling with this. Please pray for me to be obedient to Christ in all things and to be forgiving as He calls us to be. Please also pray for me as medical conditions and blood sugar levels may also be causing this negative mood in me.

We understand the deep struggle you are facing, and we commend you for recognizing the spiritual battle at work in your life. It is true that our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and the spiritual forces of wickedness in high places. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, and unforgiveness is one of his most effective tools to keep believers bound in bitterness and resentment. The fact that God has opened your eyes to see the demonic influence behind the harm done to you is a significant breakthrough, and we praise Him for that revelation. However, knowing the truth and walking in obedience to it are two different things, and we can see how heavily this burden weighs on your heart.

Scripture is clear about the call to forgiveness. In Colossians 3:13, we are told, *"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* Forgiveness is not optional for the believer—it is a command, and it is tied directly to the forgiveness we ourselves have received from Christ. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus says, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* These are sobering words, and they remind us that our forgiveness of others is not just for their sake, but for our own spiritual well-being. Unforgiveness is a poison that harms us far more than it harms those who have wronged us. It creates a stronghold for the enemy in our lives, blocking our prayers, hindering our relationship with God, and keeping us in bondage to the very pain we refuse to release.

You mentioned that medical conditions and blood sugar levels may also be contributing to your negative mood. This is an important consideration, as our physical health can greatly impact our emotional and spiritual state. The body and spirit are deeply connected, and when one is out of balance, it can affect the other. We encourage you to seek wisdom in managing your health, whether through medical care, diet, or other means, as stewardship of our bodies is also a biblical responsibility. First Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*

Yet, even as we acknowledge the physical factors, we must not use them as an excuse to remain in disobedience. The struggle you feel is real, but so is the power of Christ within you to overcome it. You are not called to forgive in your own strength—you are called to surrender this burden to Jesus and allow Him to work through you. In Philippians 4:13, we are reminded, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This includes forgiving those who have wronged you, no matter how deep the wound. Forgiveness does not mean what was done to you was acceptable or justifiable. It does not mean you must trust those who hurt you or even reconcile with them if they remain unrepentant. Forgiveness is about releasing the debt you feel they owe you into God’s hands, trusting Him to be the just Judge. It is about choosing to no longer let their actions control your heart.

We also want to address the demonic harassment you mentioned. The fact that this has been a long-standing battle since childhood is significant, and it is clear the enemy has sought to establish a stronghold in your life through unforgiveness. But take heart—greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You are not powerless against these attacks. James 4:7 tells us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Resistance begins with submission to God, and that includes obeying His command to forgive. When you choose forgiveness, you are actively dismantling the enemy’s stronghold in your life. You are taking back ground that he has illegally occupied, and you are aligning yourself with the victory Christ has already won on the cross.

Let us pray for you now, asking God to fill you with His strength, His love, and His peace as you walk this difficult path of obedience.

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is struggling under the weight of unforgiveness. Lord, You know the depth of the wounds they carry and the years of demonic harassment that have sought to keep them bound in bitterness. We ask You to flood their heart with Your love, which casts out all fear and resentment. Remind them, Holy Spirit, of the forgiveness they have received through Christ—how You, while we were yet sinners, sent Your Son to die for us. Let that truth break every chain of unforgiveness in their life.

Lord, we pray for supernatural strength to obey Your command to forgive. Where their flesh is weak, let Your Spirit be strong within them. Help them to see those who have wronged them through Your eyes—as souls influenced by the enemy, but not beyond Your redemption. Give them the grace to release every offense into Your hands, trusting You to vindicate and heal.

We also lift up their physical health to You, Father. If there are medical conditions or imbalances affecting their mood, we ask for Your healing touch. Guide them to the right care, the right choices, and the right support to steward their body well. Let their physical health not be a stumbling block but a testament to Your restoration.

Finally, Lord, we stand against every demonic stronghold that has sought to keep our brother/sister in bondage. We declare that the blood of Jesus is more powerful than any scheme of the enemy. We bind every spirit of bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness in the name of Jesus, and we command them to flee. Fill every void in their heart with Your peace, Your joy, and Your love.

May they walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for them, and may their obedience in forgiveness bring glory to Your name. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We want to encourage you to take practical steps in this battle. Begin by praying aloud, declaring your choice to forgive each person who has wronged you. You may need to do this repeatedly, as forgiveness is often a process, not a one-time event. Write down the names of those you need to forgive and surrender them to God in prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any roots of bitterness you may not even be aware of. Surround yourself with worship music that exalts Christ, as this invites His presence into your struggle.

If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to seek out a mature, Spirit-filled believer or pastor who can walk with you through this process, offering prayer, accountability, and support. You do not have to fight this battle alone. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there is strength in numbers.

Lastly, meditate on the truth of God’s Word daily. Scriptures on forgiveness, such as Ephesians 4:31-32 (*"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."*) and Matthew 18:21-35 (the parable of the unforgiving servant), will renew your mind and strengthen your resolve.

You are not defined by the wounds of your past or the attacks of the enemy. You are defined by the love of Christ, who has called you His own. Walk in that identity, and let forgiveness be your act of worship to the One who forgave you all.

Dear friend, we're here with you in spirit, praying for you as you navigate through this tough time. We understand that the weight of unforgiveness can be overwhelming, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this. We're standing with you, believing in your strength to overcome this challenge.

We're reminded of a verse in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Jesus is right there with you, ready to fill you with His strength as you take steps to forgive. It's not about excusing the wrongs done to you, but about releasing the bitterness and resentment that's been weighing you down.

Let's pray together, asking God to fill you with His love, peace, and strength as you walk this path. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
