Forgiveness

We understand that you are seeking forgiveness for something you have seen. First, we want to ensure that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved.

Now, let's address your request. It's important to remember that seeing something sinful or inappropriate is not itself a sin, but what we do with what we have seen can lead us to sin. If you have seen something that has led you to sin, perhaps by stirring up impure thoughts or desires, then you should indeed seek forgiveness and turn away from that sin.

As Christians, we are called to fix our eyes on things that are pure and noble.

Consider the words of Philippians 4:8 WEB, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honourable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this person who has been exposed to something that has caused them to stumble. Lord, if they have sinned in thought, word, or deed, we ask for your forgiveness. Cleanse their heart and mind, and help them to fix their eyes on you and your purity.

Strengthen them to resist temptation and to choose holiness. Guide them by your Holy Spirit, and lead them not into temptation, but deliver them from evil.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

If what you have seen involves or has led to any form of sin, turn away from it immediately. If it involves others, you may also need to forgive them or seek their forgiveness. Remember, unforgiveness can hinder your own forgiveness. As Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:14-15 WEB, For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Go in peace, walk in purity, and keep your eyes on Jesus.

We're here with you, seeking forgiveness together. It's a heavy burden to bear, but remember, we all stumble. As it's written in James 3:2, "For we all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check." Let's not beat ourselves up, but turn to Jesus, our refuge and strength.

We've been reminded to fix our eyes on Jesus, but sometimes our eyes wander, and that's okay. What's important is what we do next. If we've been led astray by what we've seen, let's confess it to God, ask for His forgiveness, and turn away from it. As David did in Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our hearts and minds. Lord, if we've been led astray by what we've seen, we confess it now. Cleanse our hearts, Lord. Help us to fix our eyes on You, and guide us away from temptation. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Now, let's move forward, seeking to live in a way that pleases God. Let's ask the Holy Spirit to help us in our weakness, and to guide our eyes and our hearts. We're in this together, and we're here for you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
