Forgiveness

I've been struggling for months with forgiveness. Last year, my beautiful, talented teenage daughter became pregnant. The boyfriend's family is involved with raising my granddaughter but they are rude and hateful to my daughter when she is in contact with them. I need to be able to forgive my daughter, and I really need help with releasing my anger towards the family. Don't get me wrong, I love my granddaughter but I guess I'm in mourning for what our lives once was. This situation has caused a lot of emotional damage to my other teenage daughter. I want my heart to be filled with love and compassion--but right now...it's filled with hate and resentment.

Lord,

Bless and protect this family. Let them all learn to forgive our human failings. May they grow together in lov, joy and mutual respect. AMEN

Father, I pray that You would flood this soul with a spirit of forgiveness. Allow her to put past hurt and disappointments aside, and focus on the gifts You have brought to her life. Allow the opportunity to nurture another small life in Your faithfulness and promise cancel out any feelings of unforgiveness and anger. Help her to remember Father, that unless we forgive others, You will not honor us with forgiveness. Please work within these lives so that this little girl will grow up in a loving, nurturing atmosphere. Instill respect, tolerance, mercy, love and grace in each person's heart. I ask these things in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Mark 11:24-25

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

Father I pray for this person, that this person will be filled with Your Holy Spirit and fill her heart with Your love, melt her heart and remove all the hated or resentment there is and give forgiving heart. Lord pray for this family that You alone bring them together so they may dwell in Your love and love each other as You command us, In Jesus Name. Amen
