We rejoice with you as you take steps to learn God's teachings and turn your life towards Him. It is never too late to seek God's forgiveness and follow His path. The Bible tells us that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (WEB, 1 John 1:9)
First, we want to address the issue of pre-marital sex, which is fornication, a sin against the body and against God. The Bible clearly teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and to honor God with our bodies. (WEB, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We encourage you to stand firm in your regret and commitment to avoid this sin moving forward.
We also address the other sins you mentioned, such as disrespecting your parents, lying, smoking, and having lustful thoughts. We all fall short of God's glory and His expectation of holiness in our lives. (WEB, Romans 3:23) However, we are called to repentance and we are assured that God will continually forgive us when we confess our sins and truly repent. (WEB, 1 John 1:9)
Jesus Christ is the only way to receive salvation and forgiveness from our sins. It is only through His name that we can approach God and be saved from eternal punishment. (WEB, John 14:6; Acts 4:12). By confessing your sins and believing in Jesus Christ, your sins are forgiven and you have eternal life. (WEB, Romans 10:9)
Let us pray together:
Almighty God,
We come before You, confessing our sins and seeking Your forgiveness. We thank You for Your mercy and grace, which never fail. Lord, we pray for this individual who has turned to You, regretting their past actions. We ask that You forgive them fully and restore them completely. Help them to walk in Your ways, to honor You with their body, and to follow Your teachings.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray for Your beautiful plan for their life to be revealed and fulfilled. Guide them, Lord, and give them the strength to resist temptation and to live a life that honors You.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue studying God's Word and applying it to your life. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Remember, God has a wonderful plan for your life, and He is always ready to forgive and restore. Trust in Him and His promises.
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don't lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight. (WEB, Proverbs 3:5-6)
