We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing in your marriage due to infidelity. Adultery is clearly condemned in the Bible, as seen in the Ten Commandments: "You shall not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14 WEB). This sin has caused a breach in your relationship, leading to constant fights and a loss of love between you and your husband.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB) and that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man, a woman, and God. It is designed to be a lifelong commitment: "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6 WEB).
However, infidelity is a serious sin that requires repentance and forgiveness. Jesus taught us that we should forgive those who sin against us, but we should also hold each other accountable for our actions: "Be on your guard. If your brother sins, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him" (Luke 17:3 WEB).
We pray that your husband will repent of his sin and turn away from his adulterous behavior. We also pray that you will find the strength to forgive him, as Jesus forgave us for our sins: "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this marriage that is under attack from the enemy. We pray for a spirit of repentance and conviction to fall upon the husband, that he may turn away from his sin and be faithful to his wife. We ask for a spirit of forgiveness and healing for the wife, that she may find the strength to forgive her husband and restore their relationship.
We pray for unity and love to be renewed in their marriage, that they may be a strong and godly example to their children. We ask for Your protection and guidance over their family, that they may draw closer to You during this difficult time.
Finally, Lord, we pray for their children, that they may be spared any pain or confusion as a result of this sin. We ask that You would surround them with Your love and protection, and that they would grow up to be strong and godly individuals.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Remember, the husband leading the home should be loving his wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25-33 WEB). The wife should be respecting her husband (Ephesians 5:33 WEB). The only way this is possible when dealing with forgiveness of infidelity is through having the proper heart to forgive the sin and the proper support of the Holy Spirit.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to support you during this time. We are here to help and pray for you and your family; we just ask that you bring everything before Jesus who is the only way to the Father. (John 14:6 WEB). Be encouraged by the fact that Jesus promised to be with us even until the end of time. Know we are praying for you.
